Emerging Markets Report: Cemex tries to lift debts built in housing boom

Mexican concrete giant Cemex SA, weighed down by huge debts from an acquisition made as the U.S. housing-market went into freefall, may have to sell new stock to avoid a pricey bank refinancing -- or even worse, risk defaulting on its debt, analysts say.

If this company had not been so greedy and hungry for power they would be in much better shape. now they will have to pay the price. All the people they let go have paid the price and soon top brass will pay as well.
