Local politics 'entertaining'

As a transplant to Erie, I am pleased with the array of entertainment opportunities, the most amusing of which seems to be the politics.

Don't worry, Dana Spector, until we get rid of 3 or 4 mental lightweights on Council, the entertainment will not end. If it weren't so sad, we could have our own series on the Comedy Central channel.

Prepare to be entertained by some of the best. Erie sleeps in an almost forgotten corner of not only PA but of this country. News is spoon fed and usually given just before it's ready to spoil. If people are not able to comprehend the scope of this project and what it will mean to our way of life, then they might as well stick their heads back in the ground. Waiting for a cancer cure, like waiting for a bus. The true effects may take twenty years and by then we'll probably be ready for mass transit.

I agree with Smedley: Every time I look in the mirror I find something more to hate about myself so why not make others suffer too.

Could be worse, they could be republicans. Like John "Bush" McCain.

The real joke is trying to burn tires and call it renewable energy- follow Rubino and friends, follow the money- that is the real big show in town!

I guess it's better to get the smoke blown directly into your face than indirectly pumped into an already hopelessly toxic environment.

It's better to get the smoke blown directly into your face because you can always leave or go somewhere else.....but when you're burning 80,000 tires a day , where do you go???

When you think about it, how many people does RUBINO need to live in Erie, 60 ???

Dana, to compare the world's largest tire burning plant to smoking inside the walls of a private business shows that your wit and wisdom is lacking in wisdom. To compare those two is like comparing a physical assault from a stranger to a sanctioned prize fight. Unlike the prize fight, I do not, condone our area being punched in the face by thousands of tons of toxic residue. If a business allows cigarette smoking, I don't have to go there. There are absolutely no insurances that the exhaust from a 200 some foot smoke stack will not destroy the air and land for miles around. Get a grip.
