cause she was awful. I worked for HP (Hewlett Packard) under her tenure. Employees celebrated with champagne when she was 'asked to leave'.

I think she's terribly arrogant and makes self serving decisions. I tend to be on the conservative side (not necessarily Republican), but Fiorina won't get my vote!

I suspect before everything shakes out, she won't even take the Republican primary.

A California Republican aiming to unseat Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) next year has gotten a boost from conservative Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC).

DeMint announced last night his Senate Conservatives Fund was endorsing state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore over former Hewlett Packard chief Carly Fiorina. The group supports only "rock solid" conservatives, organizers told supporters on a conference call last night as election results came in.

DeVore "will work with me to shake things up," DeMint said, and "vote the right way ...
stand up in our conference meetings and say,'Folks this is wrong let's turn this thing around.'"

He urged supporters to directly donate to the DeVore campaign.

"California is ready for a turn back to freedom," DeMint said. He said DeVore has a "record straight up the way mine is" and applauded the candidate for flying to Washington to meet him.

The news comes as Fiorina officially entered the race via an editorial in the Orange County Register where she asked "those who expect more from our government to join me in making a change for the better."

Erick Erickson, editor of RedState.com , also appeared on the call and noted that DeVore served in the Reagan White House. He criticized Fiorina for backing the stimulus and noted recent polling showing both of the candidates are within 10 points of Boxer.

DeMint targeted Boxer in her role as chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee and said she is "surprisingly vulnerable for a Democrat running in such a blue state."

He said Boxer would "add to the cost of living" with her climate bill and would "cost Americans a lot of jobs."

The Republican primary is June 8, 2010.

The group took a snap poll via telephone of the callers on the line and 78 percent said they would back DeVore while just 5 percent said they supported Fiorina. The rest were undecided.

This woman shipped 28,000 jobs overseas, and she expects to be rewarded with election to the Senate?

They just get more arrogant everyday.

Excuse me, but her track record suggests she is more adept at destroying jobs than creating them; she sent some 28,000 American jobs overseas during her tenure with HP. She's more "savage" than "savvy."

It's exciting for me having lived with my family in the Bakersfield area to consider the candidacy of a bright, tough, compassionate leader, Carly Fiorina. The great San Joaquin valley has been held hostage by water regulations that make little if any sense. Many of my friends in the Fresno area are experiencing forty percent unemployment and loss of jobs.
The current administration in Washington D.C. plays the radical and dangerous game of setting wrong priorities. Health care, cap and trade, weak defense policies, all serve to keep our eye off the ball. The problem which is being ignored in Washington by the administration and Senators like Barbara Boxer is the dismal economy and a lack of effort to restore or create jobs. Month after month we hear on network news the recitation of more job loss numbers.
California needs someone who is a person of action with a plan for economic growth. Carly Fiorina thinks outside the box and Californians will learn quickly that she will bring jobs and economic growth to this great state in weeks not years. It is great news for my wife Mary Beth, myself and our California friends to have the possibility of this incredible woman of action available for political service. She will once again put California on the map as a place of progress, jobs, and compassion for others. A vote for Carly will be a vote for increasing jobs for all.
