With gas prices near $4 a gallon, area dealerships are seeing a shift in the norm

Has Harley made some gigantic advancement in fuel mileage that no one told me about? I've been riding them for over 35 years, buying a new one about every 3 - 4 years. All Big-Twins of course, those are the only "real" Harleys. I have never had one get better than about 40 MPG, most 30 - 35 MPG. If they are talking about a pint size Sportster or Buell that gets 60 MPG, well any you might as well just buy a Honda Elite 80 and save about $5K.

Wow, the only real Harley is a big twin? Being the Sporty is HD best selling bike they must be fake and everyone who rides one should switch to a metric bike. To judge someone less because they dont ride a big twin doesnt seem to make much sense. Ride what you like and get on the road and ride.

Sure, Harelys won a lot of races way back before Jap bikes were imported into the US. Not saying I care anything about Jap bike, I don't own anything with a foreign sounding name on it.
