I would buy another car from A&E in a heartbeat. I have had my neon for a little over 2 years now and it runs great. I bought a car at amercan before that and traded it in at A&E for an upgrade. Just this neon owners opinion.

They should add King Auto Sales to that list. They have screwed over everyone I know that has bought a car from them. They claim they have a 30day warrenty until your car breaks down, then they say its something you must have done to it!

Yeah and they sell cars that they don't even have titles for. I know someone that had their car stolen and a few weeks later found it on King Auto Sales lot. They had bought it from the person suspected of stealing it. How reputable is that.

I was thinking bought a car from King Auto Sales. The one that I wanted had a small oil leak. They told me that they would fix it before I bought it. To make a long story short that small oil leak turned into a MAJOR oil leak by the time I drove it home. They told me there was nothing that they could do about it. When I asked about the warrenty they offered they told me that it didn't apply to my car! Now I'm stuck with a broke down peice of junk that I paid $2000 for! I contacted the BBB, but that is taking forever!

In response to the negative comments about King Auto Sales, I have bought 3 cars from King and they have been more than fair concerning all my vehicles. They are the only ones who offer a warranty out of all the car dealers down there. The warranty is 30-days or 1000 miles whichever occurs first. If you drive your car 3000 miles in 2 weeks your warranty is void but they still work with you and do the repairs much cheaper than any other place could do it for. King is a USED car dealership, if you want a new car go to a NEW car dealership, you must maintain a used car to expect some kind prolonged use out of it ( change your oil once in a while). I dont have the credit to go to a new car dealership so I choose to go to King because they sell much better vehicles than any buy here pay here lots.

Came from Kings Auto Sales on 157. They have got to be the absolute worst place to buy a car from! I bought a car there and had it for about 2 weeks. It started knocking real bad. I took it up to kings and they told me that it wasen't their problem. I only had it 2 weeks! I couldn't get'em to do a damn thing about it. I ended up going to Brocklands used car lot and bought a truck from them, I've had it two years without any problems at all.

In the last 5 years I have purchased the following from American Motors:
1994 Camaro Z28
1995 camaro
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Kennedi Auto sales in Belleville
2000 Mustang
1999 Taurus

No problems with any of these vehicles.
These lots sell used cars bought mostly @ auction or tradeins from new car dealers.
If you know a little about cars you can find some decent cars @ both these lots.
If you pay cash you can get a pretty good deal, I have always paid less than the listed cash price on the car. I have found then to be a decent place to buy a used car if you are paying cash. That buy here pay here is a bit pricy.
I did find a couple issues with a couple of the cars listed above pointed it out to them and they fixed. If you want a new car go to a new car lot.
If you must finance and want a warranty go someplace that offers that. If they truly screwed you...sue em

Not sure why you would see me in court. I have no connection to these lots just have bought some cars from them and telling what my experience was.

I meant them, not you personally.
I'm sure they are probably used to getting sued by now. After all there had to be a bunch of people that were screwed over to get the attention of the BBB.

I know of the family and its history. I would never buy from them. I had a friend that was threatened with a violent crime after he had done some work for this family and wanted to collect his pay.

I have puchase at least 7 cars from American Motors in the past 10 or more years and never had a problem, will go back again. Every business has problems, with the volume of people you see in this place some people are bound to have a problem.

I see a problem if you HAVE to buy 7 "new" cars in 10 years. Unless that is your choice and nothing wrong with the car.

Who do you know in/around Cahokia that can choose to buy a car every year or every other year just becase they feel like it? Chances are if you have the money to do that, you would go to a bigger more reputiable company. That is unless you are part of the Foltz family and they are cutting you a hell-of-a deal.

Are you 'assuming' that everyone in/around Cahokia is poor? And what exactly would be a bigger...more reputiable company? Brockland? I dont think so.... they have some of the same cars on thier lot and want twice the price...and they offer no warranty at all! Point is you get what you pay for....if you only spend 2000.00 for a car dont expect something perfect.
