Wayward Pilots Have Their Licenses Revoked

Good. There was no excuse for what they did.

They don't have to worry about the new schedules from the merger with Delta anymore.

So now what? Do they get their full retirement?

They were updating their status on facebook & Myspace...but typing xxx into google sorta took their minds off their job I suppose.

Did they go to the Kennedy school for pilots?

They should install little flashing buzzer. If pilots don't respond or wake up, air traffic control can buzz them like an alarm clock.

If that doesn't work, put a zap collar on them....

Somehow I doubt that they were using their computers. Odds are they were sleeping or doing something there were not supposed to be doing in the cockpit...

Some of the news stories mention that cockpits do have buzzers and lights that air traffic controllers can set off when they lose radio communication with pilots.

This is why the "heated discussion" and "working on our laptops" excuse crashed and burned by this, the next day...the buzzers and lights would have gotten their attention if they were anything but in a deep sleep.

Did they go to the Barney Frank "mile high" school of aviation?
