This just adds more debt to an already heavily indebted offer. If this is approved, look for this so called "New Delta" to struggle for a long time if it doesn't just go out of business.
It still does nothing about the logistical nightmare of crew and mtc. scheduling.

Lets do to the delta pilots what they did to the Pam Am guys, make them have to intertview for their positions. Its to bad your business plan a year ago was for Usairways to shut down. Be careful for what you wish for.

Doesn't have much to do with anything else, either!
This is another case where weak management and ignorant unions, and their ignorant members, have brought another U.S. business to its knees. Whichever AL ends up with this once-truly-fine AL should clean house and start fresh with all new employees, top to bottom; and no unions.

You are Alice-in-Wonderland! Pull your head out of that body cavity, get real, and try handing out your peanuts at McDonald's. Delta is a goner! The FA, and other unions, really screwed up a once-good airline. Congratulations!

The pilots and the flight dispatchers are the only unionized workers at Delta.
Delta's managment team at present is doing a very good job and actually "seems" like they care.
Delta was destroyed by Leo Mullin and his cronies.
Doug Parker is just a corporate raider. He has not even finished his first merger America West/US Air.
It is obvious he doesn't care about his employees and is just trying to make some quick millions. If he pulls this off he will soon jump ship while the "New Delta" as he calls it will struggle to stay afloat and possibly go out of business.

Ok! On the line. It is not the intent of this poster to try to demean anyone who actually "works" for a living in this country. Honest work is an honorable thing and should be seen as such. It is not for the tail to wag the dog, but the other way around.

What I find amazing ...Is the congress did not allow United and US Air to merge.....Their routes did not overlap much at all...Do you honestly believe that 2 competing airlines with many , many overlaping route would be allowed to merge, and lets not forget, Boing and Ge and Delta Alpa the 3 biggest creditors.....Most negative comments boarder on " I know it all "....You should follow the bankruptcy and not your fairytale wishes...

It looks and smells like a redundant merger, and generally speaking, those are anti-competitive and anti-consumer and prices go up and service goes down… We have a duty to protect Utah consumers.”
- Mark Shurtleff, Utah Attorney General, Desert Morning News, December 20, 2006

A hostile takeover by US Airways upon Delta would not be good for the city of Cincinnati, would not be good for the state of Ohio, would not be good for the state of Kentucky and would not be good for the United States of America. Ladies and gentlemen, we must do everything within our power to oppose this hostile takeover.”
- Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, Cincinnati Post, December 20, 2006

A combination of carriers of this magnitude should be scrutinized in the public domain. Mergers reduce opportunity for competition and thereby increase costs to travelers.”
- Rep. Jim Oberstar (D-Minn), U.S. House Transportation Committee, Incoming Chairman, The Wall Street Journal, November 16, 2006
