What good news!!! At least the coffee farmers can hopefully get a better deal somewhere else cause Starbucks exploits the coffee farmers in the developing world,

Good, Since they will not support our service members down range I hope they go out of buisiness for good.

In Boston, there are way too many. But their vanilla lattes are the greatest. Even visited one in Paris, France, same great latte.

Makes sense. They have FIVE of them here within 5 miles of each other. Overplayed hand in a dead economy. I can drive for 20 miles on what one drink costs these days. Where are you going to put YOUR $4?

Gee - now all the self indulgent weeners with their cell phones and laptops, who think that the local Starbucks is their own private office, will have no place to go......

Why is that? I visited Boston a few years ago and we were amazed at all of the DD's there.

Sheetz stores are kicking their butts in this area. At Sheetz, you order your item on a touch screen, the sizes are words people actually use like "small" and "large" and the employees are friendly and not weird like at Starbucks.

And things are actually affordable.

Nah, McDonald's will pick up the slack. Now they can sell their coffee for .88/cup, down from .8.

Obviously DD is doing something right! That is why they are not closing 600 stores. DD's coffee is better anyway!

Starbucks coffee tastes burnt. People are getting smart and not spending 3 to 5 dollars an a cup of inferior burnt coffee. Starbucks is no loss. McDonalds obviously got the inside scoop on this with their high dollars coffee line. That is also doomed because the huge number of poor people who stop at a McDonalds want cheap meals and cheap coffee.

Huh, I thought it was only my taste buds that thought so. A lot of times their coffee just has an awful burnt taste. I guess people just go out of habit. Nice business plan if you can make it work.
