Heard this on another forum and thought it would be worth repeating here.

What's the difference between Obama and Hitler?

Hitler was at least able to bring the Olympics to Berlin.

Not yet anyway. Ratner doesn't seem to be into blowing up buses for the time being. More into defending those who do. As for Obama, with the kind of people he's associated himself with over the years, he might be one of the people the Ratners might have to defend.

It is not exactly the fairness doctrine. It is more about radio as a public service and how that service is best achieved when private station owners give their money to public stations. This redistribution of wealth is achieved through taxes, or fines. Mark Lloyd believes that those who have ownership and authority should step down to make room so that those who did not previously have ownership and authority can now acquire it. Again, this is achieved by taxation and fines currently in ownership positions.
There may be some argument because the link is to a site with bias against Lloyd's advocations, but there seems to be a real hesitation from those who would support him to allow Lloyd's real words to be heard.

<quoted text>Just want to say thanks for having my back on that other thread. I usually stay here in the politics forum but I guess that one link took me to the other by accident and I saw what those people were saying about veterans and had to say something. I didn't even address that rider guy to start with but he jumped in like some kind of tough guy. I'm sorry if I made a mess but I had to speak up.
Hey vet. If you couldn't tell, I can't stand that guy, so I don't know if I had your back so much as I was telling that blowhard where stick it. I don't tolerate any disresepect toward military personnel though, no matter what they did in the service. I have very personal experience in that regard. I don't always support the conflicts we engage in, but I always support the people in the Armed Forces. The civilian population doesn't always know the truth about why we're involved anywhere anyway.

No apology required. I've been going round and round with that jerk and his trained fleas for over two years. He needs to be taken down a notch in my opinion.

Are you kidding me? Chicago wanted the Olympics so bad, Mayor Daley destroyed half the town of Bensenville, which isn't even in Cook County, so they he could build more runways in anticipation of the Olympics coming to Chicago. Obama didn't make his big pitch to get the Olympics to Chicago because they didn't want them there. It was just the opposite.

I think Chicago's reputation of being arguably the most corrupt city in the country is what did them in. And, don't forget Obama was a part of that corrupt democratic machine here in Chicago before he went national.

Nothing of any consequence. Once the governor and mayor abdicated their responsibilities, President Bush could only use organizations that were not intended to be used for what the governor and major were supposed to do.

And all the money was going to the rich. The north end of our transit system was going to be upgraded to a state of the art system. That sounds really nice if you don't know that the north side already has a better system than the south side. The south side is the poor side of town.
More good news was that we were going to pay millions for a building that is currently largely unoccupied save for a few of the oppressed poor who live there in squalor. Yes, a slum lord was going to be hugely rewarded for allowing their building to fall into severe disrepair. Habitat Co. and Valerie Jarrett stood more to gain from the Olympics than the poor working stiffs on the south side.
It is no secret here in Chicago that elitists are running our White House. Some are still in denial, but the unions are waking up now too. You have a lot of time to think about things when you are sitting idle on the bench.

He definitely has some problems for sure. I have seen people like him before and they always turn out to be little pvssies. Pardon me but it's true. It kind of reminded me of that part of the movie Tombstone when Kurt Russell slapped the loud mouthed card dealer. "You gonna do somethin or just stand there and bleed"? ha ha

You missed the best part of all. Forest City were the front runners to build the Olympic Stadiums on a no-bid contract. To say the least, most of us regular folks are glad Chicago didn't get the Olympics.

In this regard you're correct. Most of the citizens were concerned their taxes would go up for the Olympics. But the City of Chicago itself wanted the Olympics big time. Unbelievable that they would destroy nearly half a suburb on eminent domain to build runaways they won't need now. But that's Obama's friends for you.

Ok, so far I am not sure that Obama is out to destroy us, he's very much still part of the circle...

This is how Forest City treats our MILITARY! Check this out...
http://www.neulandlord.com/index.php...
Oh my gosh ! That's inhumane standards for not just
our military, but for anyone. Nobody should be expected
to live like that; nobody. A landlord or company that
lets their properties get that bad, should be forced to
live there themselves.

That Forest City Enterprises is real piece of work.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
