Palin and Cain? Yeah they would have been much better for us...sure...Anyways good Morning...
Who knows how McCain would have done. But coulda, woulda and shoulda is not relevant right now. We have to deal with the issue at hand, which is a president who is playing Russian Roulette with our country. We can go about this one of two ways. We can sit back and just hope for the best as you're doing or we can fight back with all we got and take our country back. Perhaps you're just too much of a wimp to do that?

...."Sarah Palin's public pronouncements have now reached an amazing point -- where even Fox News is fact-checking her.

As Fox News anchor Bret Baier noted this evening, picking up on a Politico report, Palin said this past Friday that there had been a lot of "change" of late, and talked about the dollar coin -- how the phrase "In God We Trust" had been moved to the rim of the coin, rather than on the face. "Who makes a decision like that?" said Palin, seemingly pointing to the Obama administration, adding: "It's a disturbing trend."

However, the coins were in fact commissioned in 2005 by the Republican-led government of the time. And as Baier adds, Congress acted specifically to change this in 2007, and Fox displayed a James K. Polk presidential coin with the phrase on the coin's face."....

...."It's not easy to flip a congressional district that's been Republican since the late 1800s, but after being willingly hijacked by the right-wing media -- after getting steamrolled by Fox News' embrace of third-party candidate Doug Hoffman -- Republicans managed to hand Upstate New York's 23rd District to Democrats last week. And they did it just in time for the newly elected Democrat to help (barely) push health care reform through the House of Representatives during Saturday night's historic vote.

Doug Hoffman was, first and foremost, a media candidate (a media creation), which means we are entering a very new and different realm in American politics. We're entering a sort of Fox News Era where media outlets -- where alleged news organizations -- essentially co-sponsor political campaigns. We've moved well beyond the time when Fox News, for instance, leaned right and gave conservative candidates more air-time and tossed them lots of softball questions. We're now watching unfold a political reality where Fox News literally selects candidates and then markets them through Election Day.

There's a reason Hoffman described Glenn Beck as his "mentor" and pledged his "sacred honor" to uphold the "9 Principles and 12 Values" of Beck's 9/12 Project. There's a reason Sean Hannity wanted to "declare" Hoffman the election winner, and why Fox News' on-screen graphic read "Conservative Revolution?" when Hoffman was being interviewed (i.e. prematurely crowned) by Hannity on the eve of Election Day.

Hoffman's outsider bid, originally opposed by the Republican Party, was a media production, plain and simple, which means his loss was a media loss, as well.

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich had it right when he told The Washington Times that Hoffman's rise as a third party candidate was the "result of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Fox News." Gingrich, who originally opposed Hoffman's candidacy, added: "This was not an isolated amateur; this is an entire movement."

Indeed, it's a media movement that's doing it's best to obliterate the line between journalism and politics. "....

I think this is a pretty accurate assessment. It would have been better if there were more points about the things that would have been accomplished and handled well by McCain, but at this point what wouldn't be happening is significant.

The movement isn't taking direction from talk radio and Fox News. Talk radio and Fox News are just the only places where you will hear about the movement. They are delivering our message. We are not delivering theirs. The movement is news and it is real or you wouldn't be spending so much time trying to defeat it.
You are correct that it isn't orchestrated with well defined leadership in the Republican party. It isn't a Republic movement.
If the Progressives want air time at Fox I guess they better start accepting the invitations for interviews. Maybe now that Dunn is leaving things will change and they will be allowed to.

I'm just going to come out and say it: I think McCain took a dive. How in the hell did he expect to get elected president by saying the two things moderates definitely didn't want to hear??
1. We're staying in Iraq for as long as we have to.
2. Everybody (billionaires included) will still get tax rebates.

Getting back the the conspiracy theory I think the Bilderberg's wanted Obama in there. As far as they're concerned they made an outstanding choice.

McCain probably wouldn't have done things much differently than Obama. But his popularity rating in the polls by now would have been in the single digits and the Republican Party would have been destroyed. As it stands Obama is destroying our country with the blessings of nearly half the people.

I think he took a dive too, and I associate it with TARP. Odd looking back that Obama wasn't nearly as concerned as everyone else when the crash came. It does suggest that it wasn't as big a surprise to some as it was to others. I'm uncomfortable with conspiracy stuff, but it sure does all connect well with the Bilderberg Group.

Wow, what a step backwards for women everywhere. Dumb broad? Ok, so what stereotypical labels should we apply to Pelosi that would awaken your awareness as to how inappropriate your comment is?

I would need to review your statement again and it is too far back for me to want to scroll. If you want to take the time to find it and post it again, I'll be happy to qualify my statement.

Or just to buy the kind of health insurance the government wants you to have, at the price that government says you should pay...or go to jail.

You can apply anything you like to Pelosi...What are we still fighting for women rights too here in America or what? I think we can clearly state, that Palin is too much of a DOI, to be running in any Government position...

Actually, the truth was right there in front of us,
and McCain was definitely the lesser of the two evils.

In my opinion, Palin would have been the best
choice for this country, out of BO, Biden, or McCain.

Where are my chest-high waders when I need them ?

This has got to be the biggest bunch of BS by
Media Matters that you have ever posted.

That line between journalism and politics was
"obliterated" by the MSM when BO began to run
for president. The gall of MM to try to pull
that kind of crap is unmitigated.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Scorpio

You need to take time out to spend with your partner today as he/she probably has something they need to share with you. If you don't take the time now, while empathetic Neptune is stimulated by the caring Moon, you'll find that tomorrow won't go very smoothly. Take this opportunity to work things out, even if it's the last thing you want to do today. A little sacrifice is called for.
