This should not be the political issue it has become. It is rather, a moral, ethical and legal issue. The boy belongs with his biological father, who is no stranger to him. They have had visits and communications in the past five years and the child knows that David Goldman is his father. It's Elian Gonzalez in reverse. So many Cuban-Americans (some of them celebrities) argued that little Elian should not be returned to Cuba to his biological father. The only reasoning was that Cuba is a communist country. No one was considering what was in the best interest of the child, only their own political views. Elian is where he belongs and hopefully Sean will be reunited with HIS father very soon.

This is an outrage, this boy is AMERICAN, not Brazilian. The boy belongs with his father. I understand the boy is living with his step dad and has a half sister but the boy does have a father and his rights as a father were never terminated. It looks like the mom was not all there for taking the boy to Brazil and then kidnapping him in the first place. She caused this mess but its sad she died as well. This little boy will never know his mom but he has a right to be with his biological DAD. Shame on Brazil lets hope they do the right thing and let this little boy go home to the USA.

Any normal human being would know that this father deserves to have his son back in the USA.
SO whats up Brazil? This father never gave up any rights to his son. His son was kidnapped and brought to Brazil not by his choice.

Residents protesting against U.S. citizen David Goldman not to give him his son back. This is an outrage, are these Brazilian people NUTS? This AMERICAN FATHER has all rights to his son, not the stepfather. I am sure the Stepfahter loves Sean but how would he like if we took his daughter away from him. They can still have a relationship but the boy belongs with the father in the USA. Shame on Brazil people.

This is what's happens thousands of times every because there is a presumption that mothers should get custody of the kids. If it was the opposite, millions of people would be out of jobs in the U.S. And apparently they have just as bad a problem in Brazil.

Seems that the boy belongs with his father as Elian Conzales did.
However there are fcts to be considered that we may not be aware
From my point of view, there is not sufficient coverage of the facts that may be affecting the case.
1) Did the boy's father initiated proceedings right after he learned that his wife had no intension to return? And if so Why did it take so long? Wewre any other court decisions meanwhile and which are they?

2) Elian Conzales was returned to his father after a long battle.
Should Elian's mother be alive at the time, U.S. couts will have had Elian returned to his father?

What the Judges decide to do, and what should be done is two different things? All I know is that women aren't stupid farm animals and they shouldn't be treated as.

David Goldman deserves to have custody of his son and this should not of taken 5 years for the Brazilian Govt to do the right thing. This child was kidnapped in the USA and brought to Brazil for a so called vacation by his mother. I understand that his grandparents in Brazil want to keep him but the boy is not there child it is there grand child . The Child belongs with his father not step father. The grandparents have caused more harm then good. I hope they never see this child again for the damage they have done.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
