Hey Susan, hope all is well, Tell Brian I said hello <quoted text> Hey Tom! I'm Clyde Mudgett's daughter. Is there anything else you can tell me about this particular fight at MSG? I'm researching and anything would be appreciated! He died in 1983 and unfortunately most things went to the grave with him. Thanks, Crystal

Kevin was a true hero in our neighborhood. My dad took me to many of kevins fights and other times I ended up going with people from the area he was a ferocious guy in the ring and a great guy outside of it. We all idolized him in the neighborhood when I was 9 years old I got a Mohawk haircut like Kevin had and people were calling me little Kevin smith needless to say I was floating on the clouds when Kevin died it seemed like the neighborhood died with him. But here in jersey city if you close your eyes and picture Kevin in the ring and the wind blows you could still hear the chants of Kevin Kevin Kevin ................

My best friend in Vietnam was Johnny Magner. I was deeply saddened to find out that he passed away in 1979. I understand from his obituary that he was Kevin Smiths manager. Sixteen of us from Vietnam have made been in contact and were all looking forward to seeing Johnny again. He was one of the most courageous and toughest guys over there. He was also a guy who would help out anyone who needed help,in combat or not. We all miss him. If anyone can tell me anything about his life or how he died please email me at: superiorrick2003@yahoo.com. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick (Parky) Parkinson

I am still trying to find some information about Johnny Magner. He was my best friend in Vietnam. I would like to be able to brag that my best friend was Kevin Smiths manager. Johnny was a tough guy too and all he ever wanted was to be in boxing. I hope he got his dream. I still think of him every day.

Eric Magner ~ I tried to find you on facebook, but there are multiple Eric Magners. I do have a Clyde Mudgett fan page on there. I go by a pseudonym on there. The fight between Kevin Smith vs. Clyde Mudgett was a big deal & I'd love to hear the other side of the story!! Hope we can get in contact. Thanks, Crystal
