I had my hopes high with David years ago. But the lack of quality competition in his career has lead me to believe that he is not going to be the champion this city craves. When David finishes his career, he will be forgotten. So the wait continues.

When last in Albuquerque, couldn't help but notice several El Paso boxers on the programs in several Casino facilities. Seems El Paso boxers need to go elsewhere to box in facilities that El Paso does not have. This is where a city like El Paso that doesn't have Casino hotels with large ballrooms really loses to other cities and even does harm to local boxers that are forced to travel. Casino hotels are not just about gambling but also have facilities that help the tourism market for a city.

I just saw chavez jr win a world title. He has been fighting no bodies for most of his fighting career and has been pampered. His.has.been a no guts to glory story yet today he is a world champion. David's boxing career has been like Chavez. We will see some enough where it goes
