I LOVED and admired John McCain, and would have voted for him, but he chose unwisely for running mate, as Vice President Cheney has recently admitted. Did you know McCain attended and spoke at a gay man's funeral after 9-11? The dead man was Mark Bingham who had been a big McCain supporter. McCain practiced non judgmental behavior and appreciated a man for what he DID, not who he slept with.

If McCain had chosen a wise capable woman, someone like Condoleeza Rice, I probably would have voted for him, and he may have won. Instead he chose an attractive flashy carnival barker.
