The House and Senate worked less hours combined then I worked for the entire week. Nice to know our money for their salaries is well spent.

Just because they were not in Full Formal Session doesn't mean they were not working. They meet in Informal Session as well which is not counted in the time recorded in Roll Call because no votes are taken. Also the senators and representatives were working in their office preparing themselves for debates and such. They did work hard, whether you think so or not.

Fact is, Massachusetts has one of the LONGEST and most inefficient legislative sessions in the country. Other states complete their sessions in 1/2 the time Massachusetts spends.

The current legislative session is ending soon, with a number of issues not resolved. So much for
efficiency...

Um, not sure what you people are missing here. They don't just work when in session. You do realize that they have offices in Boston and in their districts where they are working with constituents and other legislators when they are not in session?

Even Jen Flanagan notes on her Facebook profile everyday whether she's in session and on what topic they're voting, or if she's in the district so she can be reached locally.

Just sayin'

ACtually, I work for one. So yes, I have been to the state house, and I know they are in their office.

Thank you for trying to knock some sense into these un-informed commenters. I too am proud and appreciative of the work Senator Flanagan does for our district. She is always in one of her multiple offices and working hard, whether the Senate is in Formal Session taking votes or not.

Senator Flanagan does work hard. When I sent her a letter as a concerned business she responded with a call and letter explaining what her position was with the right to repair bill. Wish I could say the same for Steve Di. Nothing from him or his office. You can't paint them all with the same brush.

This is true. Progressives are working overtime now to destroy our Republic. Just look at the Electoral College change they just voted on.

Flanagan is a Coakley-stumping, tow-the-line for the democratic party, can't-think-for-myself, vote for tax hikes, embarrassment. Neal Heeren will bring local businesses some much needed relief in 2012

I agree but he really needs to ramp up the exposure. I've only seen his name in 3 places and still have trouble remembering it.
