I received a similar call, and at first it sounded good, they gave estimated numbers, etc and said there are no costs to me..... I asked again, what are your commissions? They said nothing. Then they said there is a marketing fee of $885. Wow, I wonder how many people they ripped off. Hopefully everyone finds these posts and thus never uses them.
What a joke - I told them I would have my lawyer contact them to verify everything and then they hung up the phone.

This company had their hooks into my mother-in-law but she wisely asked me what I thought. I said to call and ask for their website and related information. They didn't give the website so I googled them and found this group. This is a fantastic service - I bet you anything that Brenner53 is the owner or one of their employees. That is the lowest scum on this earth and should be prosecuted. If the Florida attorney general knows about this group and haven't done anything concrete to shut them down, THEY should be fired.
By the way, Brenner53 hasn't posted in 2 months.

Just received a call from SPG! Told them I needed to check out their company. Caller was polite, gave me their name (SPG) and an "888" number to call them back. I will forgo that pleasure! This is the third company to call me in a month. There must be some hot business out there. They all seem to think that you will part with more money to see some other sucker buy your week(s). I have resigned myself that we have the weeks we have and will keep paying annually in order to have our Marriott honored guest points to use in other ways. Oh well, thanks everyone for your comments.

Got a call from Specialty Property Group yesterday and the deal sounded like it might be ok. They needed to speak with both my wife and me since we are both on the time share deed and called back today. Sounded good right up to the request for $829.00 up front fees. P.T. Barnum was right about a sucker born every minute if they think I am going to pay any kind of fee up front.
We told them we had to think about it and they will call tomorrow. I know what I will say.

Has anyone had any dealings with a guy named Brandon Waters? He says he is the Sales Manager and Closer. Says he is an Attorney and graduate of the West Point. Stated he had a down payment of 20 % and the buyer was from out of country, already cleared for loan from Sun Bank and ready to close within 3/5 days. Anyone??? He wanted $1600.

I am Adam Macker, president of Specialty Property Group. Neither Specialty Property Group nor my other companies are in no way shape or form involved in a scam. Specialty Property Group does not sell properties, such as a licensed real estate broker would do. Rather, we showcase and market properties for the sellers. We are a licensed marketing and advertising company. We utilize various types of advertising, including Internet, newspaper, telemarketing, face-to-face, and television. We currently have two fully produced 30-second commercials. We provide a legitimate service and absolutely do showcase properties.

The defamatory comments posted above by “From-the-inside” and “I know the truth” are completely false. My staff and I are taking these false and malicious allegations very seriously. Although I am aware of the individuals responsible for these malicious acts against me and my company, my attorney has advised me not to disclose their names at this time. On behalf of myself and Specialty Property Group, and through my attorney, I plan to pursue legal action for defamation and tortious interference with business relations against all persons making these false accusations.

If anyone has any questions or comments regarding my company, I invite them to contact our Client Services Department directly, toll-free, at 1-888-957-5550.

Sincerely,

Adam Macker

I received a phone call 10 minutes ago by a "Rachel". She actually wanted $948 to rent out our timeshare but refused to let us view the contract before we gave her the credit card info. Of course we hung up. Not interested in doing business and giving up credit card info to an unknown out of the blue caller that says she has a deal. LOL. Curious to see if anyone bites the bait & what the results are

I have had experience with a person who says his name if Brandon Waters. He also alleges to be a graduate of West Point. He was advised that I am a TERMINAL CANCER patient with month to live and need the money from selling my timeshare for funeral expenses. He stated his mother also had cancer and if he did not treat me right he could not sleep at night. Because I am retired from the military he used the TRUST issue as to when we go into combat we have to have trust in the people we are with. So much for trust! He called and told me he had a 20 % down payment and approval by Sun Trust for the person, who was a girl from a country that did not treat women well and she wanted to come to the US for a relaxing time. He said he had already negotiated the price and would close the transaction with 3/5 days after receiving a signed contract. That was completed on 9/9/10. This makes it a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG 3/5 days for closing, huh? He has also stated that he runs the business when asked who the owner was. Please note the message on this board which a Adam Macker says he is the President. They do not know who this guy is at Customer Service. Waters hung up on me today when I called and identified myself and then blocked my other call backs, even on another number. You cannot get any answers from anyone and they take your money and run. If they can take my money knowing I am DYING and need the money for funeral expenses, they will take yours and not bat an eyelash. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CORRUPT, CROOKED LEACHES and especially this guy BRANDON WATERS - if that is his real name. With all the lies they have told me I doubt if any of them know who their father was. For all you former military people this is a real "WHISKEY - TANGO - FOXTROT exercise.

I just had a very good experience with one of the Supervisors at SPG. Her name is Carrie ? Watson. She listened to my issues, reviewed them and took action like a true PROFESSIONAL would do. Nothing like the fast talking lying Brandon Waters. If you have trouble I suggest that you give her a try to assist you.

My husband has signed a contract with these people and I have always mistrusted people who ask for a fee before service is rendered. We have not heard from them since the contract was signed and the money was put on my credit card before he ever signed the contract. My amount $898.
I am wondering if I should contact the state of Florida.

Yes, contact the Atty Gen. and give a full report of these people. More people need to do this to shut these corrupt practices down. They are preying on TIMESHARE owners knowing the majority are elderly and need to sell for varying reasons.

Specialty Property Group Consumer Review
Specialty Property Group sold my timeshare for me and I am a very pleased customer, if you want to rent or sell your timeshare then check out their website!! www.spropertygroup.com They contacted me with an interest on my property down in Miami and I had gotten more than I expected for selling it. The great thing is they do not charge commission like a real estate company and they do all the work for you. They kept in touch for every offer and built a trust with me!! With the economy being so bad its a great way to make some money, even if you just rent out your property!! Thanks SPG!!... More...

I too bit the rental program for Specialty Property Group. I was led by the nose all around with their promises, promises. They will not return calls or emails this year. Too bad if they are out of business but they took some of my money with them.
Gives time shares a bad name and Marriott does not deserve this kind of slander.
