The rules of life are not to be found in Korans, Bibles, Decalogues and Constitutions, but rather the rules of decadence and death. The "law of laws" is not written in Hebrew consanants or upon tables of brass and stone, but rather in every man's own heart. He who obeys any standard of right and wrong, but the one set up by his own conscience, betrays himself into the hands of his enemies, who are ever laying in wait to bind him to their millstones.
To make an idol of a book,
Is poison to the brain;
A dying God upon a cross
Is reason gone insane

What Jesus did on the Cross was for everyone not just some and yet the whole Christian world believes that Jesus is the failure and Satan is the winner. Not many know their Bibles because they don't take the time to study for themselves. Serah says that we cannot understand everything in it the Bible, this may be true to a certain extent, however, we can know the mind of God and His plan for ALL not just some of His Creation :>

Hi, my dear "Lee ann"! Thank you for this great thread. We all can benefit from the enormous knowledge of the Bible. It is the Book of God, inspired by God and we should love it as much as we love Him.

23rd Psalm
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul. He guideth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name sake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies, thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Liturgical Year C
First Reading - Deut 4:1,5-9

1. And Moses summoned all Israel, and he said to them: "Listen , O Israel, to the ceremonies and judgements, which I am speaking to your ears on this day. Learn them, and fulfill them in deed.
5. I was the mediator, for I was in the middle between the Lord and you, at that time, to announce his words to you. For you were afraid of the fire, and so you did not ascend to the mountain." And he said:
6."I am the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt, from the house of servitude.
7. You shall not have strange Gods in my sight.
8. You shall not make yourself a graven image, nor the likeness of anything, which is heaven above, on earth below, or which abides in the waters under the earth.
9. You shall not adore and you shall not worship these things. For I am the Lord your God, a jealous God, repaying the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation to those who hate me."

But maybe if we share verses with each other like I want to, we would take the time to read the Bible.

He is pre-eminently the prophet of unreason - the preacher of rabble rabies. All that is enervating and destructive of manhood, he glorifies - all that is self-reliant and heroic, he denounces. Lazarus, the filthy and diseased vagrant, is his hero of heroes. He praises the humble and curses the proud.

If foemen smite you on one cheek, turn round the other, tearful meek; if perjured knaves your votes betray: come "wicked sinners" kneel and pray.
If hebrews fleece and flay your hide, heaven's gates for you, shall open wide; Christ your shepherd, won't lead astray, O! lambs of god! come bleat and pray!

lol you people are really insane. We are born into a world of eternal conflict. There is no good or evil.

Store my commands in your heart.' Know what verse.. A hint.. proverbs... It is a great way to read the bible.... Okay your turn.. Give me one...

Fair enough lol. But really I wish you wouldn't be restrained by these things. Evil is what is unnatural. And preaching submission to people is unnatural. "Cursed are the weak for they shall inherit the yoke". I see Jesus as the most evil figure not that I'm promoting any other religion either. But christianity is just leg irons for white people.

Romans 8 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

OH MY. I am not going to peach to you because I can see you believe how you do... I Just like to know why you feel this way.. You do not seem to be a bad, evil person. Now as for picking up the Bible and finding a verse won't really burn your hands... And you can read the Bible without believing... I think it would be fun for you to find a verse and let me see if I know were it is.. Of course if you rather hit your toe with a hammer , I will understand..Josh, all kidding aside... Each of us believe the way they do and that has to be respected.. Besides I very likely would not be able to find it.. I am a shame to say I do not read the Bible as much as I should.

Mine is easy but I'll do it anyway. It's the only verse I really liked and I think it's kind of famous. it starts with "I know your afflictions and your poverty-" and I liked the serinity prayer, even though I don't even know if that is in the bible.

Like I said I dont believe there is any such thing as evil. Just because someone is against me does not mean that there is some god who favors me over them. But I probably am "evil" by todays standards. I love everyone who are my friends and family and I hate anyone who is against them. And most of what I wrote is taken from a book also.

I am not interested in it. The religion is unnatural and the stories are not about my ancestors anyway. I think christianity is bad for white people, and the idea of good and evil leads to unnecessary contradictions that bother people. Do what is right for you and the people you care about. No one action is "right" to everyone or everything.

That last thing I wrote sounds a little rude reading it. Sorry if it comes across like that. I didn't mean it to be.

Guessing where a verse is, is easy. Interpreting the verse for the true meaning is the challenge :)
