Why are Black Woman/ White Man couples so offensive to others! Mainly Black Men

I have noticed that the interracial couples of black women/ white men are on the rise. I have seen the faces and heard the comment of many people, but it is supprisingly black men have the most to say.. Black men have had the attitude that black women are good enough to become sucsessful with, but a white woman is the one to spend it on, so they drop the black one and pick out themselves a white woman to garnish his arm with.

When a white man is seen in the intimate company of a black woman, there is all this talk. I even saw a black man married to a white woman make a negative comment right in front of her. Please people, help me to understand this.

To state the obvious many Black men are falling into the rap image that Black women are gold diggers, just "hoe's", too high maintenance and date White women, because some think White women are easy to get in bed, pushovers, accept a lot of relationship problems, and so on. However, when many Black men/boys see Black women w/ a White guy/boy they get offended, say she's trying to be White, a sellout an so forth, even if they never liked her themselves. Many Black people are accepted by Black people, but some person of anothr race (usually White) is attracted to them.

I'm not a fan of interracial relationships.....but if that's what two other people wanna do, so be it. They just need to realize that they're gonna hear comments because many people out there (of all races) just don't approve.

The media and many on the left can keep crying about how we're "still stuck in the previous century".....but they need to wake up and face the reality that it's human nature to gravitate towards those who are "like" you. There's nothing racist about it.....it's just how it is.

That's true that people usually hang around their own kind, feeling more comfortable, at home, and like they have more in common.

Here's the thing (and I mean NO hostility so just listen)..people are people...and if you "hang" with ppl of other races, you'd know that they are "like you." There are good and bad ppl in every color, nationality...if you want to hang with the good ones...do so...but don't exclude based on external differences...you will be missing out on a great deal.

You used the words "like you". If i was friends with a whiite person, we liked the same music, the same movies, the same, type of clothing, share all the same intrest, than does that not mean we are alike. The only difference is our skin color. It is not just the way it is, it is the way we were taught. I am glad to see more people teaching there kids diversity, instead of hatred. Sometime i ride past the school of the arts and see these young kids of all races in groups eating lunch, playing and doing projects together, not fights not issues just being together learning from each other. Thats what you are supposed to teach your kids not matter what the race. Skin color is not the issue, its the mindset of the people in the skin.

i've read all the remarks possitive n negitive, i'm with a women of color but as i see it as long as the human race lives so will the hatred n the rainbow comments! i love the human being i'm with n she loves me as we show our children love is not a color love is what all people need to do more of. life is too short to reflect on other peoples oppinions n comments of negativity , they have much need for love and to find god. to me either be ur self or find ur self by ur self. and remember, u only live once n i choose to love u as a human being not the color of pigment. god bless all. much love to all HUMAN people who love from the heart n not what hatered feeds on.

You know, from my studies of the Bible, It seems that God DID NOT intend for the races to mix. I know this will cause quite a bit of controversy but I can prove it. For example, if an Israelite mixes with a Gentile and they produce offspring ( called MAMSER) the offspring (s) are considered a contaminated species till the TENTH generation. The number ten indicates ORDINAL PERFECTION in spiritual numerics. Hence the TENTH GENERATION.

However, in the New Testament God says, "Whom are you to call what I've made clean and unclean?" That was because now Gentiles were hearing God's Word and believing in Him, which they did not do at first. God said in the Old Testament not to be unevenly yoked,(as in don't marry a non-believer) but now Gentiles were accepting God, so it became okay for them to marry. Sweetie, I am not gonna get into a deep discussion with you on this as I can tell you cannot go to the level on this that I can ( the third level). There are three levels in the Bible form which things are taught. The first level is for babes and novices of which you are. The third level s for those that are more advanced and can handle the MEAT of the Bible as opposed to milk and there are very few that can go there including most so called Th.D's. I will not embarrass you unless you insist.

Now mind you,if you insist on challenging me on this I sincerely hope that you are familiar with the original languages of the Bible cause I would be compelled to take you to the OLD TESTAMENT in the HEBREW LANGUAGE to get the full message of the proof that originally God did not intend for the races to mix. So do you insist on challenging me on this and CAN YOU HANDLE HEBREW?

Most of you have no idea who I am and what I'm actually about. W/ all do respect you statement was still wrong. God has no problem w/ interacial relationships. You can write whatever you please on here, but that fact will never change. I am naturally familiar w/ it. I can handle it, but I believe it's a waste of time. Just remember there are two parts of the Bible. Notice you said, "originally" God did not intend for races to mix. That was indeed because Gentiles would draw Jews away from the truth and "what has light to do w/ dark?" Don't you remember Solomon? However, in the New Testament God told Peter metaphorically and symbolically that everyone He's made was clean. Our sins are washed away through the blood of Christ and now Gentiles were accepting God. again, I don't plan to discuss this w/ you, because it will change nothing.

No hostility taken at all. Actually, I did not intend any hostility in my original post either. And.....I agree with most of what you said -- particularly how there is good and bad in every race.

But -- and also in response to P Diggs -- I'm just saying that it's innate for people to gravitate to those that THEY PERCEIVE to be similar to them.

I think that people who don't "approve" of interracial relationships are being bigots. And they have that right. Now if you don't see that for yourself that's one thing, but if you look at other people and think they are doing wrong then I'd say that is pretty bigoted.

I guess the people who just want to be with their "own kind" perceive the rest of the world to be like them. But the people that I spend time with and gravitate to are all of different colors, ethnic backgrounds, nationalities and religions. And their friends are composed of the same sort of multicultural flavor that mine are.

And I have never had anyone say anything to me, at least to my face about me, "black", and my "white" husband and our kids. Though out here in the boondocks of MD I have had a few kids tell my kids that their parents don't let them play with black kids.
