so am i!! it just happened that my italian/irish husband treats me how i want to be treated. if i ignored his efforts to be with me, then maybe i'd still be dating filipinos.

no kidding... we are all relying on the entertainment industry side of the business. so far it hasn't failed the company i work for yet. most independent investment business owners here in la,- when the worst things happen, they can always get back-up income with the entertainment industry. well - if and only if you're a savvy business person. my boss for instance, is not getting enough income on his cre business side which, in the past 13 years made him a multi-millionaire. he owns multiple commercial properties like retails, hotels, resorts & mansions that he buys, sells or rents out. for now, he is renting his mansions to reality shows & commercials.

that's not really what he wants to do with his properties - but he doesn't have a choice. so instead of me focusing on his investment side, i'm marketing to location scouts & attending to studio crews. but we always have to be positive and know that the market will get better & we will get back on track.

It is interesting about the entertainment industry
during bad economic times.

I would have guessed that it too would be doing very badly, but I think that industry does well because a lot of people who are suffering due to job losses, etc, often times want to forget about their problems for a little while through entertainment (movies, music, television, etc.).

I've heard it said that during the great depression of the 1930's, attending movies was a way for people to enjoy themselves despite their hard times. It was like an escape from all of the hardship. I guess it is still true today.

Generalising can be pretty dangerous if you don't have enough supporting evidence.
First, I'm simply against her views on insecure releationships. The way she descibes inter-racial relationships and that screwing around is the way to go is wrong!
Second, it takes a long time to get this in your head but people who think that divorce is an "acceptable thing" aren't exactly people who are clean in the body and clear in the mind. If you don't believe in loyalty and faith, then that is your problem.
Third, your fake-gentlemen style of speech isn't selling. I guess I've made that clear ages ago, but I'll re-state it to make it more obvious to you.

The world has pretty much agreed to fix their own economies one step at a time... up until this stage, the damage done by the credit crunch should be more or less healed. If California's economy is still bad, then I guess you're not putting enough support on Obama.

california just needs a good natural disaster so ohhhbama can give the green light to emergency loans. maybe lil kim in north korea can help out. if he would just fire off a missle and hit cali, ohhhbama could move the guard there and occupy all the hotel rooms in the state. seriously, i'm sure he's just looking for a way to help the terminator, but it has to look right.

so you do not oppose to a husband beating his wife to a pulp as a reason for a divorce? not that i'm saying that that happened to me - but close enough. my ex might have occasionally had his share of violence towards me & i didn't do anything about it. but when he laid a hand on my then 24 month old baby - that's when i fought back. he has changed a lot ever since we left. i eventually let him back in her life. he has never laid a hand on any of us ever since then. although, things are peaceful between us now, i still cannot let him back in my life.

you do not believe in 2nd chances for happiness? do you not believe in women's rights? you do not believe in 2nd marriages? then it's you who is living & failing miserable growing old & alone in this world. that's why you hide between your bogus research & studies about interracial couplings.

See? Isn't that the reason why people should choose carefully before they engage themselves into any promises of marriage. The intense heat of love seems to blind people (apparently) up to the stage that people need to get hurt before realising that love isn't expressed with a quickie or a glimpse.
I've heard many versions of your story. Out of desparate situations, people tend to throw themselves into the unknown, hoping to grab on whatever they may lay hands on. Afterall, inter-racial relationships are boasted to be the "axiom of love" (i.e. it is the DEFINITION of love), providing people with all the advantages and none of the weaknesses.
As for 2nd chances, not many people are sure that they are after what they're REALLY after. I've take this argument back to a neutral perspective... You SAY race doesn't matter, yet race matters in a lot of the relationships out there. Is it still right to nod our heads into such deception?
As for women's right, I would like to point out that, although your technigue of allusion is very useful. But as I've emphasised many times, you're the only person in the spotlight.
As for the reserach and that "research = failing miserable growing old & alone in this world", I would like to inform you that researching on a topic is the best way to figure out such unknown.
