Retired in Mar 75, 31/2 vietnam time, did some O-2 stuff and AC-130 all three areas. Non rated life support type, that had all of my tickets punched and cleared to fly. Would not trade it for a million. Came back to Thailand 6 yrs ago, works just fine for me, don't have to work. Hit the gym 5 days a week keeps you fit, hell I'll be around for another 15 anyway. Said you had 21 in so you have been there and done it. I had to go at 20 couldn't get adjusted to a peace time AF. In case your interested, Tri-Care works over here. Did you fly Powell on his last trip here? A guy I workout with was goig crazy to get to the photo op he had. Talk more when I get back..

<quoted text>I am wondering, why is every one so happy...It just does not make sense...
The same conservative religious people and others that were sad to hear all these terrible days during the last 3 years about al Zarqawi and his Islamic terrorists killing thousands and thousands of innocent men, women and children all over Iraq, Jordan and Chechnya, are now rejoicing his destruction. Al Zarqawi was the inventor of the worst inhuman acts against innocent people that someone can think of. He initialized the suicide attacks in mosques, funerals, schools, open markets and other places where innocent people are gathering. He degraded the human being race to a level that Hitler would have been ashamed of, in the name of Alla and the fundamental Islamic terrorism who desires to control the world and kill the infidels. The problem we face now is Iran that will do its best to go in al Zarqawi same way, although much faster with a weapons of mass destruction...

I will guarantee that there will be more problems and retaliations because of this man's death. It might be a good thing that he is "out of the way" but there are many more where he came from. To these poeple he was a great man. Someone will be willing to fill his shoes. And it won't take long for that to happen. You can bet that these "followers" are pi$$ed. It will only get worse now.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was the public face of the thugs in Iraq and across the globe. Go over to www.ogrish.com to see some of his handiwork. This will not end the war, but it will save lives and boost morale.

Before and right after 9/11, Osama bin Laden was the poster boy for terrorism. After we invaded Iraq, Osama bin Laden became Osama bin Forgotten and took a back seat to the new poster boy, Al Zarqawi. And now that he's dead,(for the 4th time, but THIS time it's for real) and the neo-conservatives have something to celebrate, it will be short lived. Don't be surprised that between the next 6-12 months (if not sooner)a new boogey man will become the poster boy.

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAH! I can tell I hit the hot button with that comment. Your rebuttal made me almost fall out of my chair from laughter. On a scale of one to ten, I'll give you a 1.5 for the attempt at trying to insult me. Third grade? Boring. The whole 'doing your cousin because you're from the south' joke... Boring and heard it a million times. The joke is worn out and antiquated, you know like your mother's crotch. As far as welfare check' never cashed one. You see, I have my own real estate/construction business and have a rather sizeable income and I'm not even forty yet. No kids, single and lovin' it. I made up my mind when I was 13 that the only person I'll ever work for is my damn self. I'll never be another man's b*tch ESPECIALLY Uncle Sam. I'll take what Uncle Sam pays you in six months and go f*ck that off gambling in Vegas. Now drop and give me 20!
Perhaps Tbone's message was unfair and trite, though this hardly excuses your response. You should be ashamed that you consider military service as being Uncle Sam's b*tch-- that is a repulsive remark. It is hard to fathom that someone as accomplished as you claim to be hasn't more respect for the country and government within which you have prospered.

We can all celebrate no matter what political side your on. I lean left on most issues I have been celebrating that justice has been served to a total evil thug. And, yes some other thug will take his place, but I doubt he will be as effective, both in his evil activir=ties (go to www.ogrish.com to see some of his handiwprk) or his PR effectiveness. Everyone is better with that serial killer dead.

Sorry if that offends you, but I strongly disagree with your comment. It seems to me that patriotism has morphed into blind devotion to the office holder and it's institutions. Am I supposed to roll over and kiss someone's feet simply because they have served in the military? AND should a person who served in the military throw in a person's that if he/she never served in the military they should not have an opinion? Maybe my comments were harsh, but that's the way I am when someone tries to insult me. Tbone started this whole thing by throwing "military service" in the discussion when I NEVER brought that up. If you're going to play "the dozens" with me, ya better come with your A-game, because I go for the jugular. Although I disagree, I thank you for keeping your criticisms civil.

I am not offended, I am repulsed. My reply had nothing to do with serving military, and instead addressed just one piece. My patriotism has not morphed into blind acceptance of our government-- issues that I have with our policies I take to the democratic forums--the same forums protected by those serving in the military and elsewhere. At any rate, my point was that ostensibly you have little respect for our government, and that is the point of principle upon which my comment was based.

I totaly disagree. We are not free because of the military. Lately I hear alot of people saying that we are free because of the military and frankly, I think that is a very big misconception. WE ARE FREE because GOD makes man free. Man cannot give that which he doesn't have the power to give. The founding fathers recognized this when they wrote the Bill of Rights and Constitution. As far as government, the president nor the military is the 'government'. WE THE PEOPLE are the government. What does the Preamble of the Constitution say? WE THE PEOPLE, in order to form a more perfect union...

Impeccable timing indeed. Bush's approval ratings are low, more people opposing the war, and this story about what happened in Haditha. What better way to mobolize and galvanize the people back into mindless groupthink. Honestly, this is the fourth time (at least) that the media has said that this man was dead. But I'll give the Bush followers their day to celebrate if that is what they want to do. So go out, buy some party hats, and get drunk tonight like it's 1999. Just remember the next morning after the hangover wears off, more and more of our young men and women will die. And while you Bushbots are "celebrating a major victory", that is taking place 3000 miles away, just remember that our borders are still wide open.

Looks like that one post really got under your skin pretty well. You spent the entire evening adding exactly NOTHING to the discussion other than disqusting insults (the other folks had some very interesting points)-you really need some help-you'll enjoy life much more if you get rid of all that pented up rage. And don't be so intimidated that you weren't able to serve your country, we don't mind carrying the load. Be flyin over your house in a couple hours, I'll wave down to ya...

You can bet any replacement will be checking all of his cohorts to make sure that they are not going to turn on him for the big bucks. Now the mind games really begin !

Man I'm not even playing with you today, so get over it. I didn't add anything because I just wanted to see who I could piss off, and you were the first one that bit and you're still responding to me a day later. Man just get over it, have a beer, smoke a cigar, and get laid. I'm finished with you. Have a good day.
