Explain what really? I'm from Bulgaria, so trust me there are so many Thracian artifacts buried here that I'm even surprised that everybody is so amazed with this new finding. There are probably hundreds tombs that are still not opened just because we do not have enough preservation equipment. Another finding at this site was a gold ring with a script "Saviour of Asia" or something like that, I can't recall right now...

So much for the "new earth xtians" idea of a world that is only 6000 years old. Unless of course, they can find a way to make Adam and Eve a pair of Thracians.

I don't get it. So, even if Adam and Eve lived 6000 years ago. Why can't a Thracian live 2400 years ago. 4600 years is a long time for people to be making babies. Why do you feel a Thracian ethnicity could not have formed in that period of time. The Old Testiment records many ethnicities that came and went in a much shorter period of time. Archealogists also record that many peoples have come and gone in that length of time. And what does this have to do with Christianity anyway?

FYI. The Thracians who lived in what is now Bulgaria and Romania, were probably kin the Trojans(as in the Trojan War... Hellen, Paris, Achilles and also those). The Trojan War (according to many archealogists) was more of less in the same time period as the Israelite Exodus from Egypt. Those events were 700 to 900 years earlier than this golden mask was supposed to have been made. If you want to talk to modern Thracians, talk to Romanians. They are the literal descendents of the Thracians, and know well who they are.

To All of You,Please read some books written by Bozhidar Dimitrov, a well-known Bulgarian historian working in the sphere of Medieval Bulgarian history, the Ottoman rule of Bulgaria and the Macedonian Question. He is the director of the National Historical Museum.He makes very good points on who Thracians are.That guy did his homework very well.
Regarding Trojan war and co accidents that repeated in our history - google for Anatoly Fomenko or go on Amazon to find his videos.You will be surprised by his view and research he did.
Go and visit city of Sandansky in Bulgaria you will see the enormous statue of Spartacus or Spartac the Thracian Gladiator who revolt against Rome Empire and shook the earth beneath and burned the air they have breath.

God created the mask, the Thracians and fossils; and heroin, cocaine, turtles, the american flag, Jesus (the hairy fella who caused trouble in a bank or something) archaeology, burgers, me and football. Man created christianity and thats where the trouible all started. If God created everything, he created Bin Laden too!

and where is his office? And how is connected to Thracians? If you mean Christians God - 1/3 of him was still in his fathers... hm.. you know where - when Thracians made this piece of art.

European man, your logic is hopelessly flawed. You can't be so cavalier with the historical context of things. Christianity is not where all of the trouble started, it started in the garden of Eden when man disobeyed Go and he continues to do so today.
