Griffin can actually play some D. I like Beasley, but he needs to step up on the defensive side of the ball.

I wish the press knew how to REPORT instead of CREATE! Why don't you compare Beasley to Rieley in his playing years! Or better yet compare him to Spoelstra in his playing years! Maybe compare Wade to Griffin, you never know!

Come on, it doesn't matter what the Clippers do, everyone knows they're a badly managed team (not coached) in a city overshadowed by the Lakers.

Not to mention, the Sun Sentinel had a story about Beasley being traded in the offseason, now this? Fail.

Beasley's man D is more than good enough. Why do people keep on about it, did they watch the Heat at all towards the end of the season?

And for the Heat Griffin would have been better, b/c he's like Haslem but more athletic. But when its all said and done I think Beasley will be the better player... if our rookie coach can wise up some and play him.

I watched Beasley against Griffin, Griffin wasn't that great of a defender, Beasley did whatever he wanted that game. But then again Beasley couldn't guard Griffin neither. I think at the end of the day it comes down to rebounding, Beasley showed potential this year, but I think with Griffin weighing win at 250, that will give him alot more muscle to bang inside. Beasley is around 235-240, I think if he gains muscle this offseason he will be up there. But lets bear in mind here, if Beasley would have stayed another year of college he would have averaged 30 PPG and 15 RPG, and then what would Bilas had said? Thankfully Beasley has one season under his belt, I think that 1 season will pay dividends.

i dont like Griffin....sure he can dominate the college kids.....but when he goes against players as strong or stronger than him....he wont be able to do the stuff he did in college.

this guy will be as 'good' as kevin love.
what is he...athletic? i call him dominating weaker opponents.
griffin CANT SHOOT so he will play PF and he thinks he can use his strength against garnett, duncan, etc?

cmon man, this is bust all over it.

as far as Beasley.....move him to the 3 (SF) and get his defense up

Stop writing about BS and do some reporting! Report that Spoelstra is on a space ship or on a cruise liner and won't return! That would be news we could live with

Beasly is only 20, has size, is a natural scorer and improve a lot in his defense. He need to have consistency and get stronger to the rim. I'll stay with him as long as he is commited to work and get better consistently starting with a long summer workout.

Griffin cannot and will not be able to create his own shot in the NBA. Many of his points came in the form of dunks while he was in college, much like Greg Oden. However, Griffin was a pretty good college player and I can't understand the need to bash Beasley in order to make a point about Griffin's game. They are different players.
