Alonzo, just retire already. Show up for the first game of next season, wave to the fans, make a couple of trips up and down the court and say goodbye.

Why stick around for the rebuilding and get hurt again.

i don't think zo should retire. he's good enuff to give the heat 25min of energy.
with him, marion, wright, wade and banks that has to be a starting 5 able to reach the postseason again (in the east :-)). plus blount & haslem and the ??? pick off the bank. add 2 shooters and/or trade marion for brand (ok, health is questionable).

Heat should be much better next year. Just having a healthy wade will make a huge difference. Even if they wind up with the 3rd or 4th pick; a line-up of:

Bayless or Rose or DJ Augustine
Wade
Marion
Haslem or Beasley or Arthur
Blount -- Diop is a FA
Bench of
Banks
Cook
Wright
Zo?

One of those scenarios could possibly make the playoffs next year if Wade is as Good as I believe he is. Go Heat; Keep the faith...

Why wouldn't Marion opt out of his deal. I would trade a guaranteed 1 yr $17 mil for a guaranteed 5 yr
$60 mil anyday.
