See, this is what happens when you acquire a shot-blocker and have him drawing charges! In high school I was a pretty decent shot blocker, and tried to draw a charge instead one game. I got kneed in the groin and was out for the next game. My coach said I should have just kept doing what I did best!

Taking charges is lame, it really cheapens the game, it's very much like purposely fouling the last minute, or calling timeouts in football before an opponent's field goal.

"Analysts" say it's strategic, fans say it's lame.

More rules, more restrictions, less fun.

You can still have charge calls but don't tell someone where they have to stand to get a charge call. It's becomes less about the sport and more about the regulations. BORING.
