funny how he did the exact same thing to the lakers...but when he arrived in miami as a member of the heat, all the heat fans looked past that... now that he is gone, and did the same thing, the heat fans wouldnt throw him a lifejacket if he were drowning

Thank GOD somebody finally spoke the truth! Hats off to you Dave Hyde for finally calling it as it is. If it partially answers your question, my daughter and I will be booing Shaq tonight from our seats in Section 320.

I think decisions were made by Shaq for personal reasons (Divorcing his wife) that made him want out. There is much more to what happened in Miami. Remember that Posey even took less to leave Miami that year. We do not know all the facts, but I do agree that regardless of the reasons he should never have ripped his team after being traded. He should have taken the high road. He will always be remembered as the 'Cry Baby spoiled player'.

Not sure why folks in Miami were so surprised that Shaq is Shaq... he did it to the Magic... he did it to the Lakers... he will do it to the Suns...

Shaq just ball!!! I don't see why people are upset... You say he quit last year, but so did Riley. Riley actually quit three times in 2004, 2007(when the Heat was on a surge with Wade out and Riley out) and last year. Riley is the coached if he quit, the players will follow. Shaq help bring the Heat their first championship. Please do not put last yeas dismal season all on him. Riley didnt even try to make this squad better.

Did anyone see Shaq in the All-star game? He looked good enough to me. He can't play back to back like he used to but in the plyoffs he wouldn't have to. I really wanted Cleveland to pick him up. He doesn't like the cold I guess. His career went from Florida to LA back to Florida then Arizona.

I agree with everything that was written. Shaq could have been the Kareem to Wade's Magic Johnson.......... and Beasley couldve been the James Worthy.......... damn

If only he just waited for Wade to get back to 100% health instead of giving up on him and Riley and the heat franchise last season when Wade was hurt..........

What a shame. Hopefully Jermaine Oneal gets healthy and has a shaq-like rejuvenation, i understand he's no shaq but he's 10 years younger damn-near so if he can get back to 18ppg/10rpg/2bpg on 50 plus % from the field we'll be fine.
