Will be great to have Gallo Back, like getting 2 first round picks next year. It could even be better though. The Knicks need a backup pt, center and SG. They could possibly get all 3 if they trade their first round pick this year and next for Minnesotas 2 late round picks, 18, 27 and 36. This would give the Knicks 3 picks this year and they could concentrate on Free agency 2010. I think they could problabl get BJ Mullins at 18, either Ty Lawson, Flynn or AJ price at 27 and Tyler Smith at 36. If Tyler isn't there then could always go for frontcourt backup with Tyler Hansbourough, a hustler, another AC Green in my book. They could even wait till the 36th pick of the draft because with so many point guards some teams are going to gobble up someone else early leaving some good points at 36, like Collison, Price or Douglas. The Knicks could even trade their 2010 2nd rounder for a player this year with some cash and pick up a good backup point that could develop into a great player. Collison has got good defensive skills so that would be big. There is only a couple of centers in the draft. If the Knicks don't think Aldrich is in their long term plans then they should trade the pick, I don't think that Gerard Henderson is worth an early pick, I'd rather get a few players and take a chance on some later picks like Lee and Nate 22 and 30 or something like that. You are going to get a good Point gaurd and a good PF at the least and possibly a decent shooting guard. I like Tyler Smith at SG instead of SF, he is a good defender and a hardnose player. Personally if the Knicks could swing this trade with Minnesota I would pick up Ty Lawson, Tyler Smith and Hansbourough, 3 hard nose players who are going to be great bench players and maybe a starter or two.

Another wasted draft pick.
Brook Lopez was available when the Knicks turn to pick came, look at the season Lopez is having in comparison. Interesting to see how the team addresses it's needs in the area of rebounding, defense and shot blocking, the team's biggest glaring weaknesses for the past couple of seasons. |

That's all he can do, no defense, rebounding or intimidation. |

He only got drafted by the Knicks because his father was a team mate of coach Mike D'Antoni during their playing days in Italy. There were better players the Knicks could have drafted instead of him. I'm not impressed by him at all, players that are 6'10" should rebound and play defense, not just shoot 3 pointers. European players are soft and are only jump shooters who don't intimidate on defense and are poor rebounders. |

Sorry Tiffany, Eddy Curry is a bum. He dosen't play defense, block shots or rebound. He came to training camp fat and out of shape, did nothing to lose weight or better his game. Did you see him last week when he finally got in a couple of games? He is really fat and needs to lose weight, he's too big and has trouble running up and down the court. I heard the team wants him to play for it's summer league team to work on his game and to get in shape, and he should. The last couple of years, he got between 4 to 5 rebounds a game, that's poor for a big man. He should be getting at least 10 or more a game. Look at David Lee and how many he gets and he's shorter than Curry. Lee is the second leading rebounder in the league behind Dwight Howard. The Knicks problem is that they don't play defense and thats why they lost so many games they should have won. |

He's terribly out of shape and needs to do more to get in shape as well as improve his defense, block shots and rebound. You know why the Knicks can't get rid of him and may be stuck with him? The rest of the league knows he can't play, not in good shape and is lazy on defense. He can score in a half court game, but he can't run and the Knicks play an up-tempo ofeensive game. You have to be in shape to keep up and he is not in shape of any kind. |

No, Why would I? You cool with me, always have been, I have no reason to do that to you. It's some other person doing that to you, of course they're not going to tell you who they are. Besides, don't worry about it, it means nothing. I get the same on some of mine on other threads I go on where others disagree with me. It's no big deal, not to me anyway. Don't let another person's silliness bother you. |
