Cut Stephen Jackson. Very simple decision.

Why isn't Jasikevicius ever in the talks of being released? I say keep Greene and S.A. should be on the trading blocks or being released! He has not lived up to all the hype. Face is Larry, he just wasn't what you thought he'd be! He's taking up space from someone that could be more of a contributor!

Cut Jasikevicius. His upside is zero. What you have with him is a slow, poor defender, who can't seem to shoot in this leave. Send him back to Europe. I would keep the young guys who might have potential...

Cut Tinsley, Jackson and Daniels. Results of the season be damned. Send a message this won't be tolorated in Indiana. Do we really want to be the Portland "Jail"blazers??? The Pacers probably already are.

What type of injuries has Luke Jackson been fighting? I remember Jonathon Bender always being injured. Hopefully the Pacers do not put a lot of time into another player with a injury history.

It is very easy to say cut S. Jackson. But the truth is that he has a large, guarenteed contract and some ability. Do not get me wrong, I would love to see him go...but with the money it would cost, it just will not happen. Hopefully they can find a Portland that would trade for him. If this were the NFL were contracts are generally not guarenteed then cutting the thug would be feasable.

How in the world could it be suggested that James White, a rookie, would be cut?
|

Trade Jackson and Tinsley for future draft picks. Keep White and bring in Luke Jackson
|

My thoughts exactly except with the 3 put in Harrison and get a starting center with some heart and/or a point guard that can play through some injuries |
||||
|
they should have kept Anthony Johnson and gotten rid of Jamaal Tinsley..
|

cut stephen jackons and tinsley!!!!

Cutting Jackson and Tinsley would leave them owing around $50 MILLION DOLLARS to two guys who aren't on the team. What sort of business sense does that make? Besides, you'd be losing 2 of your best players.
These guys are basketball players, not politicians, religious leaders or anything else important. Save your tired complaints for someone else. |

Ditch three and get Rose back!

I am deeply distressed that Stephen Jackson's name STILL appears on the Pacers's roster.

So the announcement is that White will be cut. It really should have been Jasikevicus and Shawne Williams. But Bird sure would have gotten flack if he cut his first round choice. But White clearly performed better than Shawne Williams this preseason. (Again...passing on Marcus Williams is something we'll regret).

Yes, cutting Tinsley and Jackson would cost the Pacers about 50 million dollars. And in a purely business sense, that seems like a lot to give up. But how much money are they losing when the attendance drops, or merchandise sales drop, or when the TV ratings drop, or the corporate sponsorships diminish, or the commercials being sold to the TV stations get pulled? Is $50 really that much? I don’t know. You have to ask if the player damaging the brand, and that brand is the Indiana Pacers. Players come and go, but the name on the front of the jersey stays the same. I can only speak for myself, and those I associate with, but we won’t be buying any tickets this year, or supporting the team like we usually do. Tinsley and Jackson are basketball players, yes, and if they want to start gun fights and smoke weed, feel free. However, don’t expect me to support them or the team that employ’s them. |

dump jackson pick up rose trade tinsley

There is no way I would keep Jackson he runs hot and cold and most of the time cold. Edwards and White should stay I'd dump Greene to I say he has bad work habits. White is the future and what will Edwards cost in the long run A mill in cash and a mean center in the future. I wonder if we are really working for a future championship or just another close but pull up short season.
|
||||
|
Dude First the is a game and a team that play to win not a Business.2nd better to loose some money now an have a real shot at a championship than to pull up short to Detroit again. Also the best players LMAO!!!! Please what a joke, Tinsley had a sore elbow or a hurt foot and was on the bench most of last season.If I pulled that crap I'd be working for 10 bucks an hour at Burger King and Jackson throw up more bricks than a maison could lay in a life time.Throw me the ball so I can shoot,I mean come on its a team not the Jack show !!!!!!!!!! the future is not Jackson and Tinsley, but the team is set now and the Birdman has spoken and I sure hope the laybacks on this team prove you right and me wrong.But I got a bad feeling about it.
