Celtics lack killer instinct

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were stoic, almost listless in the postgame interview room moments after the Celtics narrowly avoided what would have been a sure knockout blow to their title aspirations.

Nah, I just think everyone just wants to beat L.A. more than any other team.

If Boston could not get one back Bill russel days they are not getting one now.

Boston just loves to hate us. This will be a great series, but we will win because we have a better bench and THE MVP.

First of all, the Celtics have only played one other team all year long that has played as good of a defense as the Pistons and that team was the Spurs.

With that said, here are the main keys to beating the Celtics:

1. Pressure KG to try to beat you from the outside (jump shots) Do not let him get any points in the paint.

2. Guard Paul Pierce tightly so that he it makes it difficult for him to drive to the basket.

3. Play aggressive defense... This will make the Celtics make poor decisions and cause turnovers. Beat the Cletics at their own game which is (Defense)

4. The Lakers need to challenge Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and the Celtics bench beat them.

In other words, take away KG's and Paul Pierce's playmaking and scoring in this series, you have an average NBA team. If the Lakers do all of the above consistently, Lakers will beat the Celtics in 5 or 6 games.

Never underestimate a championship heart!Though I really believe that the Lakers are more destructive than the Celtics this season,I still see a big chance for Celtics to create a miracle.

Goo poat John. i agree with everything you say. Also do not forget that our bench will be a key also. Famar and Sasha have been great in the playoffs and this is the biggest stage for them.

First they are not the defending champs, second beside Sam, Brown and Posey who in the team know what takes to win a tittle?

To have the heart of Champ You need be a Champ first.

I don't know about the Lakers going down, they are playing better ball right now then the Celtics.

In their last series the Lakers are playing better D and Offense then Bostons.

Boston has a lot talent, the problem they have is that is in the hands Doc Rivers.

By the way the Lakers now match up better with Boston then at the begining of the season.

Boston has home court ,and so far this playoffs they have used it to their advangtage.

But the Lakers so far have no fear nor repect for other teams home court.
Denver,Utah & S.A. they all got beat at home.

Don't confuse the regular season with Finals.

If you noticed, when the Celtics lost at home for the fist time in the playoffs against the Pistons in game 2..they realized quickly what they lost and than hammered the Pistons in game 3 at the Palace, for their first road win of the playoffs too.Celtics beat a really good Pistons team in six, watch out LA!
