why is Bryant considered a great player?

Without Shaq and Phjil Kobe couldn't even make the playoffs. And that;'s even with the refs giving him eveyr call he wants.

Have we forgotten Kobe was on the team with the dream team Lakers and STILL couldn't win a champiosnhip with them..

Shaq, Malone, Horry, Fisher, Payton.. and he shot 30 percent in that series too.

Face it. Kobe is no better than any average star in this league if you take away the superstar calls he got playing with Shaq.

If he can't win with Pau and Odom, with Jackson as his coach, he's less than your average star.

Kobe did not dub it "Paul Pierce drama.".. the reporter said it and Kobe then repeated it with a laugh.. then said no, he was glad Pierce was ok.

It's great that we have press conference videos online now.. reporters can now stick with writing opinions.

LOL.. Malone was injured in the finals.. guess you don't remember that.

I guess any average superstar can make the playoffs in the west with Kwame Brown as the starting center, Smush Parker as the starting PG.. Brian Cook.. go on down the line.

The lakers missed the playoffs that year because of injuries. You can't have that in the West.

Delusional.

I see your point a little bit but Kobe is a great player, he's is better than your average star in the NBA. Does he need another superstar on the Lakers? Yes. Boston in five.

You have no clue what You are writing about.

Do You any understanding what is to play in team that is not build around You.

Do You understand what is to play in a team on rebuilding move?

What You though it was about taking over that's it, there is a lot more to it and from Your comments it doesn't look like You understand that.

The lakers have to win all games at home or they are in trouble. Now i have a question for everyone. In the 3rd the lakers figured out that if they run pick and roll with kobe and let him make the plays they were able to get it to 9 and than other guys thought they could do it and the lead went to 20 like that. They better play better at home altho i kno bostons postseason has been like this at home but a diff story on the road now hopefully the lakers can keep it that way. I guess my prediction is now lakers in 7. By the way pierce has been amazing from the floor in this series we need to put kobe on him to slow him down. Phil should go to fish, vujacic, bryant, odom, gasol as his starters i think when this team has been on the floor this post season good things have happen. I do like to see farmar playing well on the road tho he needs that after his road woes early this playoffs.

I like how is a team sport the team loses together and Kobe takes the blame.
But if the team it was great team effort.

Nice job!

Kobe can't do it alone, he needs another great player to help him out. Kobe carried the Lakers through alot of games this year but not against the 17 time world Champions the Boston Celtics.

All they need is get Andrew back and real center so Pau can go back to his original position.

Some time for all of them to gel together finally.
Next year they will be more mature of a team, future look bright, they do need to find an enforcer type of player.

Well our reward is going to be that our team at full strength finally starting next pre-season.

Something they were not able to be this season at all.

Nothing but a bright future for our team.

1) Phil clearly got out coached in this series, and his only championships came when he had a) MJ or b) Shaw & Kobe! Most would agree that the custodial staff could have won with the talent he had.

2) The better team won this series, stressing the word "team". Their starting 5 was superior as a unit, and the bench was much better. Kobe is a star, and the best player in the league, but in a team game, the best TEAM wins.

What You though Your team was playing a Lakers team at full strength?

Have You been watching the NBA this season or You just turn on the tv for the finals now that after 22 years You team actually made it.

Yeah that comes to show how much NBA knowledge You have.

Forget what I said about grabbing a stick and go play with Mel,just seat there with her and wait for her neighbors kids. I will tell them to bring to stick so they can play with both of You.

Once again You impress me, wow.
