Laker apologists cite the trade Kevein MacHale made to the Celts, while failing to mention the trade Jerry West made to the Lakers, the trade that got Kobe to to finals.

The Lakers may win a title with Kobe on the team, but I'd bet against that ever happening.

Next season the Lakers should be the odds on favorite to emerge from the west, the Celts had to fight through three tough teams to get there and may not survive next year.

Whoever comes out of the East will again stifle the Lakers. As long as Kobe runs the team, Coach Jackson is just an appendage.

He should stop embarrassing himself and retire.

I think the Celtics have another one left in them. Not only will they still be hungry, but now they have the Championship run under their belt. It takes a great effort to get there, and with the experience and talent they have now as a team.....well.....I say one more.

Kobe is a wash. I mean as much as he is good, he takes away from the TEAM.
