Is this supposed to be a joke? The joke is that Bird and Walsh are still employed by the Pacers. Face it, the upcoming season is already over. Bring on the lottery!!
And Bird is the idiot

....of the continued stupidity. Nobody wants to sign with a loser. It's beyond any real hope as long as Bird is around. These other GM's are making him look silly. The Pacers will be the worst NBA team next year. Good job Larry.
Yea, the fact that nobody wants to sign with a loser. That's why the Pacers missed out on shooters like Kapono and Rashard Lewis. Oh wait, maybe we missed out on them because Jason Kapono just signed a 4 year deal worth 24 million! Jason Kapono? Somewhere Rick Mount is lacing up his sneaks to try out for the Raptors. Kapono is strictly a shooter and while I like him and agree that the Pacers should have pursued him, when he started asking for that kind of money you leave him for one of those GM's making Larry look silly.
And Rashard Lewis is a good player, but I'm not certain he is a max money player. That's exactly what he's getting though.
Try not to confuse players wanting the most possible money for players "not wanting to sign with a loser." Lest we forgot Dominic Rhodes' signing with the Raiders. Money is the always the primary motivation.
If Bird grabs Kareem Rush for less than even half of what Toronto paid for Kapono, that's a good move. Rush could always shoot and a year in Europe could make him appreciate life in the NBA and realize how hard he needs to work to stay in the states. Let's just hope he didn't pick up too many of those European defensive habits.

First of all, if your name is Dave-0, you probably shouldn't be talking. We have one losing season and your wondering why Walsh has a job? Yea, he doesn't have a stellar track record or anything. He hasn't made countless deals that have ended up being absolute steals for the Pacers. Dale Davis for Jermaine? Remember how much that move was questioned? Now that move is almost laughable at how badly we fleeced the Blazers. The Jalen Rose trade that got us Artest and Brad Miller.

I don't need to defend Donnie to someone who is clearly without a full brain that works in the least. Dave-o, you are a moron. I just wanted you to know that.

I am a huge fan of Jermaine O'Neal the Pacers. The Pacers MUST trade Jermaine for some young talent ! Indiana is going to finish at the bottem of the league and Jermaine is going to want to leave the team. Evan if the make the the playoffs they will be in, then right away be out! Jermaine knows that he evan said it. Indiana is not prepared for next season there in a rebuilding process! Jermaine dosent want that, he wants to be on a contender he's getting to the point in his career where in a few years from now that stats will soon be comming down and a while after that he will retire. If he dosent get traded this offseason he will deffently opt and gone next season. The only way that the Pacers are going to win next season and keep Jermaine and get a superstar guard! And they got depth to do it lets hope and pray that Lary and Donnie realize that.Dont let Jermaine get fusterated this season that the pacers are srtuggling and are forced to trade him in the middle of the season.
