Pacers take practice to high school court

Gotta hand it to the Pacer PR department. They should've spun this right after Williams ditched his court date. Too bad they didn't get 1st choice of photos the Star used. O'Neal, squatting? Knee must be feeling better because they won without him. Things that make ya go "hummmmmm".

Hello there, Hmmm!
I can assure you there was no 'lock down' or 'near riot' prior to the Pacers Practice event at AHS this afternoon. I personally was there in the auditorium. I am a teacher in the High School University small school (formerly known as the CPA) at the Arlington High School Campus.
Linda Kimbrough, the student with the great smile in the warm-up stretching picture with Jermaine, is a student in High School University. She's a real winner, a definite keeper, and a fine, serious student worth knowing.
I make no apologies for the Pacer's Practice event at AHS today.

That is not funny at all. Why can't people just be happy that these students get a chance to meet these men? Despite the Pacers' past and despite what school they choose to visit, this was a positive thing. Stop trying to make it negative! That was disrespectful to the students of Arlington and the faculty there as well. If you are an adult trying to be sarcastic, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Now if it were the Colts, that would be and entirely different story.

No, I wasn't at AHS in '98. I was still south of the Mason-Dixon Line and teaching in a coastal southeastern city.

I was at Arlington today. There was NO near riot. NOR was there a school lockdown. Stop spreading rumors.

My bad, Gabe went to HCS. Coach Nicks was my sixth grade basketball coach at HCS back in the day. My parents sent me to HCS to keep me out of Arlington.
