I don't like Wade saying "I can't play as fast as them..." I really think he should embrace this uptempo style and take responsibility for his turnovers. No reason to fret over the losses as long as we get better as we go, that just means a better draft pick for us. We put Beasley or Rose on this team and pick up a couple more actual NBA players and i like our chances in the east.

Derrick Rose would be a great fit for the HEAT. With Miami's luck in the draft lottery though I do not think we can count on this. Riley needs to make another trade. Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion with another reliable scorer would look good. Someone who is ok with defense as well. Without a quality center they need a third option.
If they do not get 1-2 who do you think Miami would draft?

How about stopping with the unnecessary negativity mr Winderman?

This Miami team looked MUCH more competitive than they have looked in a while, and this was only their first game after the trade.
How about you focus on them almost coming all the way back to give one of the proclaimed title contenders a big scare in the final minutes?

If they had played one of the "lesser" teams they have been losing to lately I bet they would have won the game last night. Thinks about that one for a minute.

Some mistakes were made, yes, but after recent months don't expect them to get those out of their system overnight.
Wade will adjust, Dorell Wright looked much happier with the athleticism and energy Marion brought, and Marcus Banks will surprise a lot of people when he (hopefully) replaces Jason Williams as the starting point guard. And Mark Blount actually isn't all that bad in a new faster style of play, considering the options the Heat has at the moment.

So why don't you try to put the spotlight on the positives a little more, and maybe people will appreciate your little articles a bit more in the future, because to be honest this one had been better off not written.

even wade who is significantly younger than Marion says he can't keep up with marions speed, makes you even wonder why his nickname is flash yet a forward can outrun him......

Oh, and Wade is obviously still bothered by his knee, that's why he said he can't play that fast all of a sudden. He needs to get his knee completely healthy first and get used to a higher on-court tempo after that. He will be fine once it all comes together.

Now let's hope Riley gets us someone nice for Jason williams and/or Ricky Davis, and a nice high draft pick would obviously be nice too.

A nice trade, pick up a solid player during the offseason and a good rookie would make a huge difference for next year. This year is already lost anyway. I sure hope Riley doesn't think he can still squeeze out a #8 playoff spot. I'd rather have the top rookie whichever way we look at it.

Marion has been running with Steve Nash. Wade with Shaq. Who did you expect to be in better condition.
I can not wait to see Nash try and keep up with Shaq and his up-tempo style.

That would be a new one, trade a football player for a Bball player. I am all for it.

but the Heat will never win until Wade stops pouting, stops turning the ball over, and stops loafing and plays some defense. Kobe showed Wade he's just a 2nd tier star in this league. Lets hope Marion's game rubs off on Wade.

Wright looked good in the mix with Marion! If Wade gets it in his mind to play "TEAM" ball we may have some good times ahead. Riley should never use Wade as point. He needs to be working for cuts to the basket.

Shaq was right with Wade's nickname - Flash. That sums it up. Wade needs to grow up.

Thank you, David. You mentioned exactly what I thought about this article of Mr. Winderman. It doesn't stop here. It's all over in his previous articles and observations. Maybe he does it on purpose to stimulate people for diverse comments. But, in the U.S., there's the tendency of 'looking up' to people 'blindly' when they (seem to) succeed and look down on them when they (seem to) struggle. It's especially true with the media. But I would like to expect more balanced, 'professional' analyses from him.

In my humble opinion, those who were this quick to make a conclusion on the Kobe-Wade comparison as well as D-Wade's struggle this year, including Mr. Winderman, apparently haven't had surgeries, haven't felt pains and are no leaders.

As humans, we can be powerful, powerless or mediocre in terms of performance and leadership in different situations and circumstances. Most people (I refuse to say everyone here) can be powerless or mediocre at any time, but not many people can be powerful at certain time. It takes leadership. You are basically born with the ability although you can improve it over time.

As to D-Wade, let's have patience and let's see what he can do when he's healthy again with a different group of guys. I'm sure he is eager to find out what he can do without Shaq, too. Let's not forget what were being said when D-Wade brought this franchise from what it was to a championship team. It was him who attracted Shaq to come to Miami. Shaq knew D-Wade could deliver. Now it's for all of us to see who D-Wade really is and what he really is. It's good to have someone--someone special--to cheer for, right?

I wanted change and boy did we get it, in my wildest dreams i never saw this coming. The Heat team as we knew it is gone as was the champion team. What we have now is work in progress. We need to be patient, and supportive.
