Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose NBA draft

Derrick Rose likes to attract attention about as much as he likes committing turnovers, so a seersucker suit and bow tie definitely won't be part of his equation Thursday night.

HUGE Mistake..this draft choice rips apart the whole team even further. Now the guard situation is a disaster.

Great pick. Bulls desperately needed a top point guard. Sure, they have a lot of guards, so some will have to be moved. Any of the others are very expendable. The rest of this summer should be interesting.

You all want leadership and success, but aren't going to get that from a 19 yr old. No one will call this guy their leader this year and probably next year because he still won't have learned the league completely yet. I tell you what we did get, a PG who can't shoot and has extremely high expectations so early in his career. I'm rooting for him but I don't think this will work out, especially if Gordon is still here to take the ball out of his hands. All this talk about what the Bulls now have is a potential star, blah blah. One things for sure, we still DONT have anyone that can score in the paint consistantly. Now all we have is another poor shooting guard that is not going to help our last in the league FG%, which is the true reason why we sucked last year. I wander what around 20 ppg in the paint could've done to that stat?

Once again the Bulls have the rotten luck of getting the number 1 pick but no real Hall of fame player. If he is here in 5 years, I would be surprised.

Derrick Rose goes to the Bulls in the NBA draft?

That's just the way Barrack Obama predicted...

yeah, great pick. University of Memphis gets another player who comes in for one year then leaves for the big time. Good Luck, Derrick. May your career in the NBA be better than that of DaJuan Wagner. What a bust that was!

Hallafrickinlooooya. The Pax finally did something right.

Now all he needs to do is clean house and see if he can package 3-4 of his second rate players (i.e., Hinrich, Gordon, Nocioni, Thomas, etc.) for one competent NBA-caliber starter. If he can do that, between the player he receives in the trade and DR the Bulls will finaly have a foundation of two NBA-caliber starters for the first time since MJ and Scottie left.

John Paxon just wrote his ticket out of town. This seriously is going to go down as one of the stupidest idoitic draft pics in the history of the nba.

I have heard some of the stupidest comments made about Rose. How he is going to win games without scoring. How is going to make everyone so much tremendously better that the rest of the bulls are somehow going to be transformed into a championship team with his mere presence on the court. How even though he does not have a great shooting percentage, he is guaranteed to get better. How he is going to be the leader of this impressive lineup that Chicago has assembled. I mean are you people in Chicago smoking crack.

To not take Beasley, who is going to be a stud and hands down rookie of the year is just so unbelievably stupid. I guarantee you it will take less than a month into the season for everyone to realize that Miami got a stud and we got another Jamal Crawford. I want to see all you Rose supporters rationalize this draft when Beasley is posting 20 and 10 every night while being double teamed and Rose is posting K. Hinrich numbers at best this season. The bulls are going to continue to be bumping idiots and the simple fact of the matter is that Rose is not an offensive power. So you basically will see little if no improvement this season. So at best, you are hoping that down the road Rose develops into something that he is not now. In contrast, Beasley is the real deal now and there is no question about that. So basically we passed on a sure thing for a possibility that may or may not turn out. Further, even if it turns out well for the bulls, Rose is not going to be that much better than Beasley when all is said in done. Just a stupid pick.

I hope all you Rose fans remember this post one month into the season. Because you are going to be asking yourself why our number picks numbers are no where near as good as the number two picks.
