Don't be surprised if Isiah stays with Knicks -- Sports, New Yo...

When his career was on the ropes in the summer of 2000, after his failed power play in Toronto and the CBA fiasco, Isiah Thomas needed someone to rescue him.

And the MSG circus plays on! The foul stench is not due to the elephants. It is caused by "baby" James Dolan who will not hire the best candidate because Jerry West and Jerry Colangelo would both demand complete control and a hands-off approach from the owner who is reluctant to let anyone play with his favorite toy, the Knicks.

Unfortunately, it seems that Donny Walsh is so desperate for the job that he is willing to let Baby James call the shots - whatever they may be. Keep Isaiah, trade draft picks for more bad contracts -- who knows what price he (and Knick fans) will have to pay.

Please David Stern step in before it is too late!

I ask myself one thing if Thomas would be kept. What would he do? He certainly can't coach that is for sure. He has difficulty picking players so what use would he be to the Knick's and a new staff ???

It's hard to imagine the salary that Thomas receives for virtually doing nothing and causing an enormous lawsuit that the team had to pay. Many people would do all of his work and take 1/8 of his salary.

Leave it to Jimmy Lucky Sp*rm Club to screw this up. If he's worried about looking stupid if he let's Isiah go, too late Jimmy, everyone in the country knows your a moron!

The only way Little Jimmy even begins to redeem himself is to get rid of Isiah and start with a clean slate with the best candidate possible. Unfortunately, Little Jimmy is too stupid to see that.

Stern must be choking on this if Isiah stays and maintains any sort say. The guy is a cancer to an organization and will continue to be so for the Knicks until he is totally gone.

In almost every country on Earth there is a method of keeping sports teams in check. It is rcalled elegation.

A team that finishes in the bottom three slots in a league is sent down to the next lowest league and the top three of the lower league are promoted.

Thus, teams like the KC Royals or NY Knicks would be sent down for finishing last and would run into worse financial straits than just losing some cash on somthing as minor as home attendance (television being the larger money maker).

But as the Knicks are the only game in town and can basically do as they please, Isaiah and the clowns that have been mismanaging NY's basekball team are here for as long as they want with no real consequence save for a ribbing by fans and the press. And seeing as these people have no pride, even the hard time they get rolls right off of them.

Heck, all Dolan has to do to keep afloat or pay Isaia's lawyer's fees is raise our cable bills.

Food for thought?

They could just replace Isiah's clipboard with a mop and bucket. The aisles are a bit sticky with the spilled drinks and such.

I stopped watching a while ago. When Thomas' sorry butt is out the door, I'll come back. Otherwise, I look forward to welcoming the Nets back to New York.

If IT is going to stay around, what's the point? I believe in loyalty, but there comes a time when persons prove that they don't deserve it, haven't earned it, don't care about it. I believe IT has shown all those positions. The level of his sense of entitlement is extraordinary and I work with felons who still don't believe they "did the crime" after spending most of their lives in prison.

Be very, very careful, Mr. Dolan. The Nets are coming to Brooklyn at a time when 100% of Knicks fans are disenchanted with you. Not just Isiah, but you. Your mismanagement, your hiring of poor managers, and your bizarre loyalty to poor managers. If you haven't cleaned up your act by the time there's a team in Brooklyn, I'd much rather support Rod Thorn, Jay-Z, and Bruce Ratner than the circus at the garden.

I've been a Knick fan my whole life. Sadly, the Knicks slowly disappeared after you bought them.

I WOULD tell everyone who goes to the KNICKS games to stop going. But then moron Dolan will just raise my cable rates for his lost revenue. I still can't understand why anyone shows up for their games. Time to switch to Verizon.

Well said, I may become a Nets fan myself. I remember when they were the NY Nets, they have some roots in NY which would make it a little easier, but not very much.

I read in another local paper that Dolan wants to keep Isiah next year in some capacity. Dolan believes that he would look foolish buying him out right after giving Thomas a fat extension. The fool doesn't realize that he looks even more mentally challenged by keeping him.

If this man (Dolan) wasn't born into the family he is in, he would be HOMELESS. He can't run an electric pencil sharpener. I know people who work at Cablevision in high positions and can not believe the things I hear. DUMP Thomas AND Dolan

let us remember what Isaiah said about white season ticket holders. Thomas is a racist jerk. Words matter. He is another idiot who allowed to stay because of what he is. If he was a white guy, he would have been gone a long time ago.

Ironic note: Thomas is a Chicago transplant. Could be the curse of the Cubs transferred to the NBA in the name of the Knicks.
