I wouldn't mind taking Williams up on this.
I mean its not like he would start, he'd probably play what, 15 minutes a game max? And he is better than Arroyo, who seems to be our best option right now. |

well arroyo wasnt that bad we just had a gm who had a hard on for jameer or something. williams isnt that bad. also mason jr as well.

I'll take williams as a backup PG. I still like Dooling more though. I don't know how many games he's turned around for us with his energy and defense.

Not a bad move!

He would be a good pick up. He has the skills to start if needed, but don't we need another big man???

Jason (WV Hillbilly White Chocolate) Williams is a perfect fit for the Magic!
As soon as Jameer has his next "breakdown" Jason will be the starter! :) |

Wonder what's wrong in saying WV hill-bi-lly?

Let's just hope he stays off the weed during the season.

Great! Now we can thug it out at Cairo.

Wow....Has anyone watched him play lately. He is washed up and can't play D. This would be a horrible pickup. I would rather keep Garrity than J-WIll

Even though he's an old gator and liked him alot in his prime he is well past that point in his career now. I'd much rather see the Magic resign Dooling.

Good Pick-up if this happens.

get rid of jj and we can have dooling (bird rights) and white chocolate (veteran's minimum). |

We need a PG who can defend the bigger PGs in the league. This moves smells of desperation.

NBA is fixed anyway.

Lol, thats doubtful. He would be better than nothing, but not by much. Everyone keeps saying we need another big, which is true, but dont forget we still have the Cookie monster, plus Battie returning. We are in dire straights at PG. If we have a Nelson- JWil combo at PG, we might be screaming for Arroyo to come back :) |

I did not like us resigning Jameer at all. The guy is a backup point guard. He shows "flashes" but we need consist play especially form his position. |

I would rather drop a couple of guys and keep Dooling. He is a much better fit for this team. Pietrus is a nice pickup and Dooling at backup would be much better. Otis did a great job in securing our #2 guard position for the next several years. We strengthened our defense and got a guy who could score too. I notice a of posts wanting a PF now but getting backups at PF is not that difficult. We do need one more but he is not going to get a lot of minutes. Lewis and Battie will get most of the minutes with Cook getting the rest. With Hedo Lewis and Cook in the game at times we could really spread the floor for Howard. I think the main reason we are not signing Dooling is so we can resign Hedo next year if he opts out. Because Pietrus can also play SF I would not be surprised if we traded Hedo, a SG and draft pick for a couple of major players. Starter PG (IE. Billups as an example) and a backup PF. Then we would have almost all the pieces we needed.

For Dumars to trade Billups for Hedo he would have to smoke some of the crack that your smoking now. |
