Ira: Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

This kid has no chance at starting at center.... he has a chance to get the backup spot until Zo comes back (over Magloire: Who is completey done).

But over a serviceable center like Blount he has no chance in heck.

Tough finding news this time of year?

I disagree with the previous comments. Anthony is for real. While he will certainly play behind Zo when/if he returns, he should play ahead of Blount and Magloire (not the '04 All-Star, but the guy from the last 2 years).

Anthony's offense will continue to improve. His defense is already solid, much better than anyone we currently have. This team does not need or want an offensive center. The Heat needs defense, rebounds and blocks.

The Heat will be a much better team when Anthony is on the floor.

The guy is a beast. Granted he's not very good, but every team can use a beast.

7'4'' wingspan with a defensive motor? very nice.. we already got 2 allstars with marion and wade. we don't need a stud at center, just a great team guy and i think we have that in our centers.

can't wait until next week for preseason

If he can play D similar to a young Ben Wallace and throw down a few dunks we may be in good shape. Some players can improve very quickly.

I agree with PSS and Munchem, i think he could really develop for us and have a great years as a shot blocker/defender. If he can get 7-9 ppg as well all the better.
Anything is better than Mark "rebounds hurt my soft hands" Blount.

I would think Joel is more Jason Maxiell than Ben Wallace cause of the wingspan, but both players are great.

Go Heat!!
