You forgot to mention a coaching staff that has a high schoolish offensive game plan, can't make mid game adjustments and doesn't know how to pair personnel.

This team has no killer instinct. No fire. No heart.

No hope.

I just hope they can make a couple good moves in the offseason and try to come back next year. And I don't mean yet another mediocre 50-32, 3- or 4-seed season.....I wanna see 55 to 60 wins (or more), an Eastern Conference powerhouse. I'm sick of being second-rate.....I want to be the Boston or Detroit, the team everyone fears playing during the season.

This coming off season will be about "adjustments" all over again. The team is pretty much at the same point on the development curve as it was back when Hughes, Marshall, and Jones first arrived. Some will say the Cavs have taken a step back especially defensively. There is no point guard, no "Pippen Factor", and the offensive system looks drearily the same.

It is hard to imagine how one can feel a little board during a Cavs game that features LeBron James. But I can't help feeling so. I find the words, "oh no, here we go again," a constant refrain.

Please explain in detail their offensive scheme. You'll likely say LeBron pounding the ball, but I just wanted to see if you have the ability to see any other offense on the floor. So please, what is it?

OK. So things look bad but not a whole lot worse than last year. I have no cause for optimism but I am not ready to jump ship on 2008. The Cavs have the best player in the entire NBA so I won't give up on them until "the fat lady sings."

The best hope for the Cavs is to have 5 players participating in the offense and not relying on one person. Wilt Chamberlin never won many championships.

Uptempo pace.....player movement and ball movement which allows the players on the floor to develop a rhythm......taking care of the ball to reduce turnovers....and....48 minute of focusing on the game and especially on defense.....are the things that the Cavaliers are capable of doing , if they set their minds to it. Doing these things is the team's only hope. James cannot do it by himself nor should he feel that the other four players on the floor are only spectators to his creative offense.

As strange as it may sound, I feel bad for Damon Jones. He's played well all season it seems, and yet he gets his minutes slashed. Sasha is probably not healthy, fine, but Damon has made some big shots for this team. LeBron and Damon basically beat the Wizards all by themselves the day after the big trade was made. I find it hard to believe that coach Brown would just ignore all that because Damon had trouble guarding Chauncey Billups recently.

You get the feeling that Brown is the key to all of this coming together. If he can figure out how to use this roster, it could mean another playoff run.

True, but unfortunately when the Cavs win the fans give ALL credit to Lebron and none to Mike Brown.

As well they should, when LeBron missed seven games in a row earlier this season the Cavs went 0-7. LeBron is the only reason Mike Brown and Danny Ferry have jobs with the Cavs.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Aries

The behaviour of somebody around you (most probably your partner or family member) may be rather irrational today. Alternatively, a surprise involving one of these people is possible. Try to keep your domestic plans reasonably flexible to cover all possible outcomes. The focus is on improving your relationship with your partner or with friends today. Any outings should go very smoothly.
