Da Bulls have once again reverted to the BULLSHIrTS!!
'Funny' how the same has happened to that other Reinsdorf owned team: the White Sox (since '05) as well. A coincidence? I think NOT!! Time for new ownership, it would seem!! |

I won't comment about the Bulls the rest of the season. Because they are who they are until major changes occur from top to bottom. Bring in a new GM and a coach and revamp the TEAM! This season is a done deal unfortunately.

Hey, when your a horrible team with bad players and an even worse GM, these things tend to happen...I'm just happy they kept it somewhat close...if the Bulls can keep most games within 20 points or so, I think Bulls fans, like myself, should be absolutely ecstatic...I mean, who in their right mind thinks this slop of a roster is going to the playoffs? THAT WOULD BE THE WORST THING FOR THIS TEAM...Well, at least when they sit down and enjoy their Christmas they will be able to sit back, drink some egg nog and realize they are quickly becoming a laughingstock of a team...horrible GM moves by the OVERRATED John Paxson...how did he get this job? Was it because he made a shot against Phoenix in the Finals? Wallace was a putrid signing...not moving Deng, Gordon or Hinrich was the worst possible move yet to date...Happy Holidays Bulls, you are truly a pathetic team with a horrible GM who is SO SCARED to make a ballsy move to shakeup a franchise that has meant NOTHING since MJ left...

I watched last night's game, because that's the kind of demented person I am. Aside from Joe Smith, the Bulls seemed confused, out of shape and generally not prepared to play in the NBA. At this point in the season the inescapable conclusion is a new coach is needed. The only questions are when and who Paxson's next victim will be.

Having listen to him give a talk many years ago, I really like Paxson as a person and I agree with the work ethic on defense that Skiles and he have tried to instill; however, it is apparent that this staff does not know how to select and/or coach big people, especially on offense. Playing on championship teams does not make one a great coach or GM. Unfortunately, I believe Paxson is a very loyal person and nothing will happen to change things for a very long time.
The way things are going with Bulls, Bears, Sox, and Cubs it's time to get interested in college sports. |

I laugh long and hard at the stupid Bulls

trade kirk and get a real point ,this is the real problem for the bulls. he can not make the other players better and give wallace to anyone who wants him ,he is undersize and makes the team a four on five

all the players that have gone from the bulls to other teams in the past two years have become better players,it`s the coach he sucks.

sam, c'mon man, you guys have to start reporting reality sports! kirk hinrich sucks and he has been sucking since day one. skiles has pampered and cajoled him for 5 years attempting to keep his confidence up. yet, there is no pampering for gordon or any other player on the team. and then to top it off, they paid this guy 10mil per!! for 14 points and 5 lucky assist per game? if you insert jason kidd into hinrichs postion, the bulls would immediately become eastern conference favorites. hinrich is a loser. you can tell by his body language, don't mention by his jump shot. sam, you gotta keep it real! lets stop blaming all of the other players. your captain is supposed to be a great ball player. not this bum hinrich. he can't lead by missing all of those easy shots. i think that the other players are boycotting until skiles and paxson come to their collective senses and get rid of hinrich. i want to lead the charge, HINRICH MUST GO!!!!!!!!!

I can simply explain this debacle we have been watching in a few brief sentences. Ben Wallace was a mistake and brings absolutely nothing to the table. Kirk Hinrich is a sub par guard who might as well bounce a basketball coated with butter. Ben Gordon cannot play defense, and if he could put together four good quarters of basketball we might have half a chance. Skiles needs to find a rotation that works within the first 10 games of the season and tighten things up. The Bulls for now are not fun to watch, and are becoming the biggest let down in a long time for us Chicago basketball fans.

While his recent performance can be described as "underachieving - badly" I don't agree that Hinrich is the problem. Hinrich would be the problem if he were the only one underachieving, but he quite obviously is not. Almost everyone is playing below what they have avhieved in the past - and this points to a problem with management andhow the team is run.
The Bulls were at their (limited) best as an overachieving drive and kick jumpshooting team. Putting Wallace in mix clogs up the paint and stalls the offense. Putting Wallace on the payroll made it hard to sign Deng and Gordon as Deng and Gordon know that the Bulls do not have the resources to pay them AND Wallace at the same time. Putting Wallace on the team also told Deng, Gordon and Hinrich - aneveryone else - that management did not believe that they were good enough to win. To add insult to injury, putting Wallace on the team also made management look foolish as they had to concede that he was important enough to "bend" the rules. The experiment looks like a failure. Should we keep compounding the effects by not doing anything about it? |

You are correct, and I think management was getting to much credit for the Bulls steady improvement prior to this year. The Ben Wallace acquisition never made sense. I feel they should have been more patient with Tyson Chandler as he has become a better player since leaving Chicago. Tyson Chandler was able to make at minimum the same contribution that Wallace has made. In Detroit Wallace was able to excell in a very specific area of the game because of the players he had around him. He did not have to score down low to look good, and he did not have to hit free throws to look good, and so on and so on. We have over two years left of watching this over paid underachieving player at the Center position. I have more confidence in our ability to be successfull with Aaron Gray in the game. The Bulls back court from Hinrich to Duhon needs to be revamped. Duhon is never going to be a scorer, and is only effective on the defensive end when he is guarding someone that sizes up with him. The Bulls have lost confidence in the type of play that they had while overachieving the last few years. (Drive and Kick) (and actually make the shots) As a lifetime fan and season ticket holder it is dissappointing, because we are seeing a team regressing. Its been a long time, and we are probably looking at another 2-3 years unless someone would be crazy enough to pick up the remainder of Wallace's contract
