that is the craziest thing i have ever heard. i would not trade al straight up for amare, let alone throw in a number six overall! learn to play some defense and get a jump shot amare, then we can talk about how great you are.

Kahn is absolutely correct in cutting ties with McHale. The team's dismal performance over the last several years speaks for itself. It was time to clean house and bring in new vision, new passion, and new expertise. Love and Jefferson had a relationship with McHale and it's understandable for them to feel a loss, however, in pro sports it's about winning and McHale couldn't prove he had a winning formula as a coach or a GM.

Keep love on the roster. The guy is good, solid, versatile and very young. His basketball IQ has yet to kick in as an NBA player. He'll be stronger and in better shape, and he'll have some better players around him (we hope.) Why trade him? Get rid of underperformers Foye, Smiley Brewer, Miller and Sebastian Telfair. They all have trade value...

Like it or not - as long as good ole Glen owns the T-Wolves there will always be crazy and unpredictable things going on. Someone from outside the old guard had to come in with a different way of doing things all the way around. From the way they draft, trade, coach - none of the old ways were working. Let's hope the new direction will produce results. ANYTHING is an improvement! 15 years of futility is more than enough!!!!!!!!!!

Love says we are close to being a playoff team? Whatever you are smoking, it must be some potent stuff.

Trade the whole freakin' team, but Big Al. Wow, hit the weight-room, Love. Foye is a "tweener" like Marbury was and we do need a true point guard. Package Miller and a first-rounder and start cleaning house. I don't know if I can watch another season like the last few.

Acquire Stoudamire and add him to Love and Al Jefferson as well draft two point guards with remaining 2 picks and the Wolves might be on to something. Go Mr. Kahn.

Haven't we seen enough of T-Wolves trading THEIR PICKS for players?

Trading high picks in these stupid trade scenarios of players who couldn't take their team to the top in their prime? Stoudamire is not the answer, or we'd have seen better out of Phoenix. No 'D' except for about a block a game.T-Wolves do not need this type of offense or defense only player. They are not one player away. Like wise, Wolves do not need a defensive-only center like Thabet. If he was a complete player, fine. He is not.

Better to trade: Foye,- finish 'Roy' debacle; Love & Miller - finish 'Mayo' debacle; Brewer - never going to make it.

Oh, make sure one of these trades is to the Clippers to get rid of that first-round pick albatross hanging around your neck. Wolves need to get rid of tradable NBA veterns, not acquire them. Half of the roster isn't getting you any more than extra 5 wins anyway. Pick up cheap free agents with one year contracts. Might as well stay in the lottery next two years. With the trades, accumulate future top draft picks three, four, and five years down the line so that in three years, after solid drafting, when you are a playoff team, you still have lottery picks to make a move into the top four teams in the league. Oh, and use them wisely.

I agree with post above mine,,, on Thursday we need to get Rubio, Hansborough & E. Maynor at 28.... trade the 2nd rounders along with Cardinal, Madsen, Brewer, and Craig Smith to get picks for next year,,or a veteran bigman like Marcus Camby or Cris Kamen.?

I am saying the EXACT OPPOSITE!
Trading players and picks has not been 'kind' to the Timberwolves. Finish unloading the McHale mistakes for picks, if you can, and concentrate on the draft.

You'll have 5 roster players from this draft alone plus Jefferson, and Foye, and maybe Love.

Stop trading the picks and players unless it is for a higher pcik or higher future picks. Which isn't going to happen often so just concentrate on drafting well.

Oh, and Mr. Kahn, I'm pretty sure I won't let ANY McHale 'trainees' run or have an opinion on my draft. Give Fred & the boys the week off to go fishing with Kevin. Do it yourself. Just grab all the mock drafts and anlysis from the web you can, do your best, and KEEP your picks. Don't get fancy. Just by doing that, could you really do any worse than your predessors?

Oh, and I wouldn't be drafting Hansborough with any of my picks. Not going to be an all-star and probably not a starter in the NBA at PF or center in NBA and already have Love, who is better.

Rubio? No, I'd rather have Evans, at this point.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Pisces

Do not overspend on redecorating. Say as little as possible and concentrate on matters in hand. Someone you care about will be erratic and eager to pick a fight. To move that great idea, you need to talk to the big spenders. Run the idea by them and see if you cannot get a backer and a partner for your concept.
