Thabeet is not ready to play in the NBA, he has moments of greatness, but still needs a lot of work

this guy better get an education, he's soft and will be at best a bench player in the nba

he was embarrased by smaller players (pitt) and still turns the ball over on catches down low

uconn ran to much through him this year hiding their poor guard play

calhoun was masterful in getting as far as he did with this bunch

sticks has a future in bball the rest. thanks for the memories, great season

Can Hasheem benefit from another year in Storrs? Yes. As others have mentioned, 50
% of the time that he brings the ball below his shoulders, he loses it. Change the statistic to "number of times he dribbles the ball," and the answer leaps over 90%. And, factor in the prospect that NBA players may abuse him, then the case for Hasheem honing his craft one more year becomes compelling.

Hasheem is a wonderful young man. It's true that an NBA scrap heap is still a posh neighborhood. A team's 13th man makes more than I ever will. Yet, with another year as UConn's star, rather than the Blazers'expensive-gamble-and-s oon-to-be-cu t albatross, he can develop the skills that will help him last in the NBA for 10 years. Then, Hash will have more than enough money to fund his projects in Tanzania.

Just because someone is from Africa doesn't mean they are poor. His mother and sister sitting in the stands didn't look as if they were suffering. I understand that his father was an Architect and went to Oxford. The family values education. He should stay in school and Calhoun should get someone to work with him on not bringing the ball down and dribling it whenever he gets it down low.

Why should UCONN make millions of dollars from this kid when he could be making it for himself?

He's not ready? He's ready to make big dollars in the NBA, and any team that invests that money in him will surely spend as much time developing him as UCONN would.

The sooner he gets to the NBA the sooner he can start raking in the money.

Thabeet should stay for another year.... but for someone like him, with his background it has to be a big temptation. I HOPE HE STAYS.

Thank you Huskies for a terrific season! I dream of Hash and Sticks staying another year and working with Dyson , Gavin and Kemba (as well as the rest of the team) to return to the Final Four next year. I pray that Coach continues to get stronger and is able to deal with the stress of being UCONN's men's basketball coach for a few more years. Don't give up on us Coach! We love you!

With Thabeet, Robinson a hopefully improved Kemba Walker at the point they could do some damage. Jimmy convince Thabeet to do the right thing and wear a T-shirt that says "I went through many Trials but at the end of the day I don't want to be another Nate Miles"

Lordy.....

I have a pictures of THabeet taken on cell phone from Dar El SAlaam. In one he is pictured standing guard at a night club when age 17th. Also I have one of him killing a lion and posing with it. Apparently he killed the lion with a large rock and spear. He will wear the lions dress next april when we will a championship. ALso THabeets cousin from Zamunda came to Queens in order to find a suitable mate to marry. He met her at MCDOWELLS restaurant on Queens BLVD.

They deserve our thanks for a great season. But my thoughts are that AJ tried to win the game himself by going into the lane against a crowd and not shooting from outside. Austrie took 4 shots-that's ludicrous! Sticks took only 6 shots and Edwards 1; what's wrong with this picture? Turnovers, basically mental errors, and poor foul-shooting have plagued them all year....they take their toll in the Final Four!

I thought when Stanley posted low, the Huskies threw in the towel. They were so out of synch offensively that they saw Stanley as the only option. As GREAT as he did play, that was not where we wanted to set up in the half court, it was basically one and done as far as offensive rebounds. A.J. absolutely tried to force the issue with NO success. Credit States perimeter D. Why didn't Coach have A.J. play#2, Kemba #1, and try to work A.J. into 3pointer position off a double pick say. They made the adjustments, we didn't. Still I loved this team, great run, good luck to A.J., Craig, Jeff, and the rest. Go for the cash Hash, you've got incredible upside. Coach, take care of yourself, thanks for your fire this year and over your career. If you do come back next year, the loyal Husky faithful will have your back. Thanks again.

AJ's shot weren't falling as much against Missouri as they had been. I almost got the impression that he didn't have any confidence in shooting 3's yesterday so I kept trying to score off the drive.
