I mean the guy is making $11,000,000 and played 4 minutes last year. I'd be comfortable with Walch and D'Antoni moving in with Curry to make sure his late night trips to the refrigerator are for some fruit and not ice cream!

i am happy to here Eddy is making good progess. He still has the potential to be a dominant force inside the paint, and if his conditioning holds up, should be able to run up and down in Dantoni's gameplan. I feel we have to give Eddy a little bit a break , considering the tragic events that occured over the past few seasons. However, some of these incidents were caused by Eddy himself, so we cannot give feel Too bad for him. The least he can do is get himself in shape and attempt to play a full season, which would at least make him more the outrageous salary he makes. Moving on, I still have some faith in Eddy and being informed about him losing 50 pounds makes me feel happy for the guy. Good job Eddy, and don't stop now!

No matter how much weight he loses he has never proven to be a good rebounder/shot-blocker/defensi ve player. That is what the Knicks really need in the middle.

It's a good idea to have him participate in the summer league; it's one of the best ways to monitor his off season progress and give him a chance to work on his game against NBA level competition.
He was terribly out of shape when he reported for training camp last October and didn't play much during the season as well as the drama he went through in his personal life.
We can only hope he has the desire to get in shape and become a better player.

I'm actually scared to find out where Curry's conditioning is. I can't even imagine him not being in the best shape of his life. I believe in second chances & think he deserves a chance to prove himself but I have to admit that I have a feeling he wont be where everyone hopes he'll be.

Curry has lots of talent, little motivation and no killer instinct! It is a shame that if he had the latter two qualities, worked on his game and kept himself in shape, with his quickness, agility and talent he could have turned out to have been an all-star. Without them he will be either a journey man or even a never-has-been.

The Knicks should showcase him and then trade him for the best deal they can get by the trade deadline. He should bring back a good player or two or a couple of expiring contracts before he blows up again, both literally and figuratively.

Eddy Curry is definitely the team's anchor - he holds everyone down. He sounds like one of those guys who just doesn;t seem to want to play the game, like Luther Wright (remember him?) from Seton Hall.

Eddie's comin' back! He's had enough trauma the last couple of years to maybe change his mentality around. He might find the fire and dominate. I've seen Eddie fired up pushing some big boys around (Alonzo, Perkins, Howard). Big Eddie coming full speed in D'antoni's offense is a scary thought for a lot of centers. Good luck stoping him if he's fit and finds the fire.

I've been behind this team for all these stinkin' years. No reason not to get fired up about this upcoming season. Let's go Knicks! I ain't waiting for 2010. Let's get to the playoffs now!

good to hear Eddy is putting the work in. he's had so much tragedy in his life in the last year off the court. playing basketball should cause relief.

still, he's going to have to fight for minutes with Darko and Hill now in the front court rotation.

Now if he would just pay his Mortgage on his Burr Ridge home. How is a person who makes 11 million a year not able to afford a $30,000 a month payment?

Maybe he needs to quit having kids with different women and spend more money on C0nd0ms and time with his wife. Look what happened to McNair.
