Too much Sox appeal Beckett & Co. look unbeatable

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

You mean to tell me the Rockies waited around nine days for this? Nine days? This franchise has waited for all 15 years of its barely noted existence - one that began the same year as the Marlins' - for a ...

That could be the Marlins if it weren't for the lame deal the new owners got stuck with thank to the Garbage Man. Watch him try to weasel the team back for nothing because he owns the stadium. He will than try to extrort more pulic money for a new baseball only stadium tahn sell the team and keep the revenue.

I don't think its Wayne's fault that the defending Champ in 04 got an avg of 10,000 fans a night. We could not pay Josh his current BoSox salary or Lowell's. With the current state economic problems we will never see a competitive team here again. Becketts next contract will probably the richest for a pitcher.

You should have driven down from Hobe Sound and attended a few more games.

They drew over 1.7 million fans that year. A lot of people won/t go now because Wayne owns the stadium and there is a massive anti-Wayne backlash. Someone who pulls the kind of crap he does and than takes football away from Americans will be boycotted.

End Wayne's global agenda www.NoGlobalNFL.com

Hey Big Mouth Berardino...the SOX are an awesome team but they are older, more experienced and were just in the World Series (albiet after an 86 yr drought) a few years ago...give the ROX a break and wish them the best instead of sounding off like a Yankee!!!

Hey Mr. Berardino, the Red Sox paid nearly $200 million this year, not $143M. You're forgetting the $50M they paid just for the right to negotiate with D.o.u.c.h.e-K and his 4.40 ERA. Red Sox fans have nothing to be proud of even if they "win". You're pathetic.

You clowns are pathetic. Look at the roster: Varitek, Youkilus, Pedroia, Papelbon and Lester are from the farm system. Ortiz was taken off the scrap pile, where anyone could've had him - so was Wakefield. Lowell, Beckett and Crisp came in trades. Pretty prudent front office management. Quit with the sour grapes and the classless comments. The Sox are the best team. If you knew baseball, you'd realize it. Move on.

Oh, boo-hoo. So this is what a disgruntled Yankee fan sounds like. Boston can afford these ballplayers because they have a loyal following of fans that affords them the luxury of being able to go after pricey talent. Stop your whining and sit back and enjoy the Red Sox onslaught. You are witnessing something absolutely beautiful. Baseball at its best. Baseball the way it was meant to be played. Baseball in the crisp autumn air of New England. Baseball at Fenway...and another World Series Championship.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
