Another wasted start by Olsen. This team is as consistent as a channel 4 weatherman.

Meeting of the mindless after the game. I wish someone on this team would show some emotion. Hey Fredi, once in a while let the umpires hear it from you. Not just "how's the family"

It looked like they were swinging against Gibson, not Wellemeyer.

The long slow side into the losing column continues every night. Young developing players who have been over their heads, are now folding from the long ,hot, humid season that sucks all the energy out of the players and fans alike. They are simply playing DOWN to their potential.

I know that there was a meeting after the game to discuss what to do but I just looked at the Isotopes web site and it is sitting right there. LaDuca just keeps hitting and hitting with a .458 average and McPherson hit his 40th home run. If you watch the Cardinals they have a bunch of contact hitters and that is what is missing from the Marlins. All season we have gotten away with it because the team was able to hit so many home runs but now that they are not doing that they just don't hit. We really need to bring up some players from the minors. I am sure they wll probably wait until the rosters expand in September but I am afraid that it will be too late then.

I can't imagine that the brass was too easy of Fredi. Who knows if they handled him with the same kit gloves he does his players. We'll probably never know that but they must have voiced their opinions! Maybe they made some educated suggestions on who to bring up and who to bring down. I'm not even going to try and guess but whatever it is it will be better because something is going wrong here and maybe there is still time to fix it. Got my fingers crossed.

I feel for Olsen as another good showing go fo naught.

I hear the Cubs pitchers were fighting over who will pitch first when they get here. These Marlins are just Dead Mullet. Especially that preening idiot Jacobs, UUUUUUUgla who needs a psychiatrist more that Hannibel Lector did, Hermida who should be back in GA picking peanuts out of his aze, Cantdo who couldn't do in Tampa when they were awful, Baker who hits screeching bleeders that hardly make it to the onfielders playing in on the grass, Willingham who should be a goner by now and don't forget Fat Freddi[They didn't tell me I'd be in a pennant race] Dumbo.

Hey Marlin fans... here's news headlines for you...the stinky fish's bats will still stay silent when the CUBBIES play this weekend. Your team will need one of those BIG RED BATS they use in T-ball if they want a chance to hit off, Zambrano or Harden. FISH STINK HA HA HA HA... see you chumps at the game!!!!

All i can say is Freddi just got totally out managed by the master LaRussa. You see how they win by fundamental baseball. Lead the league in singles, prove you don't have to hit homers to win games. How many times does mister all-star Uggla have to be thrown out at second base. Ran nonchalant to first and with his great speed hurried up to be thrown out at second.Freddi has to put some fire into this team, sorry don't think he is cappable of that.Oyher day Uggla was safe at second but called out/ Where was Freggi to argue the call, didnt move an inch off of bench. This young team plays same way no emotion, just going through the motions. If still had Girardi and Cabrera to bat 4th would be in first in this sad division. Marlins have no one to bat 4th. Thought this was most important man in lineup. This is why they score no runs. We can thank Loria for no Girardi or Cabrera. Who did the Marlins recieve for Cabrera , NOTHING.

Time to put Granpa Gonzo and Granny Willingham in the home.....let's get some youngbloods...

Message to Olsen:
Find a team that averages 5 runs a game and you will win at least 15 games...kiss the Morphins goodbye.

It's all over but the bitchin'. Hope the Phillies beat the Stems for the division.

"Dan Uggla opened the second with a single for the Marlins Get your Marlins Tickets now!' second hit, but was thrown out trying to stretch it to a double."

What game were you watching? This was a double all the until Suckla hesitated; time to dump this loser and Hermaphrodite as well!

"Dan Uggla opened the second with a single for the Marlins' second hit, but was thrown out trying to stretch it to a double."

Sorry, but that is a lie. Let me edit that:

"Dan Uggla opened the second with a double for the Marlins' second hit, but was thrown out when he jogged around first while the outfielder throw a NICE strike to second base."

Scott Olsen had to take an anger management course. Can you picture the "old" Scott reacting to Jacobs RUINING an excellent cutoff of a man at first, that instead turned into the winning run. I was going to put some of the blame on Hanley for not getting the ball, but Jacobs was inside, Hanley was inside, and Jacobs threw it so poorly that UGGLA was closer to the ball. Not one word from him about it after the game, either.

And, on the "a real team would have traded for Manny" watch, the Dodgers SWEPT the Phillies, and Manny is hitting over .400 for them. And he would have been FREE! Sure, we would have lost Hermida, with his strandings of Hanley on third, but I would have shed a tiny, tiny tear before cheering the HanRam and ManRam combo that would have been in first place right now.

Sad to see such potential get wasted due to a cheap owner.

Gonzalez characterized the roughly 30-minute session as "kicking stuff around."

I was at the meeting. I was a little fly on the wall.

(Not really, but go with me here for a minute)

Fredi was standing in the middle of the room, while the other four stood around him in a circle. A bright light was aimed down at him, causing him to blink.

Larry kicked Fredi and then said: Fredi, I am soooo sorry that we didn't get Manny. I tried. I know you said he would be an improvement over Hermida, and that team morale would improve if we made a big move at the trading deadline, and that you could use a player that knows how to work the count AND has talent. It was just that the Red Sox were asking TOO MUCH. They wanted to give Manny to us for free, but they didn't want to give us two million extra. They are so greedy.

Dave kicked him too: Yeah! All the other teams are too greedy!

Jeff kicked him next: I just want to make sure Fredi that when you talk to the media, you don't say you wish we had gotten Manny. I have a reputation to uphold, and I don't want anyone to think I am cheap.

Fredi rubbed at his bruises and said: Yes sir, anything you say sir.

Micheal kicked Fredi and says: Why am I even here? Because of you losing, Fredi! I wanna go home and watch the Olympics!

Dave kicked him again: Yeah! He's missing the Olympics because of you!

Larry got in a last shot: Well, Fredi, go out there and beat those Cubs. I know they have spent five times what we did, but remember, we are NOT cheap.

Fredi fearfully rubbed his shinand humbly asked: Umm, so what DO I tell the media when they ask why we were in here?

Jeff got in a last boot on Fredi's rear and snickered: Tell them we were just, umm (hee hee) kicking things around in here. And get rid of that fly on the wall!

Dave kicked him again: Yeah! We aren't gonna pay for an exterminator!

Later, after Jeff, Larry, Micheal, and David are back in their limo (I flew with them to see what they would say) I heard David say "And to think that Girardi didn't like these upper management meetings. I wonder why?"

Hey "Not Sure", we usually disagree, but when you are right, you are right. Uggla coasted, and it cost him. Too many mental mistakes from him lately, and he HAD BEEN improving in May and June.

Yep; I guess that all star game really destroyed his psyche. If we could have the Uggla of the first half of the season, we'd be in pretty good shape now with the starting pitching the way that it is.

Hey hey! Holy Mackerel!
No doubt about it,
The Cubs are on their way.
The Cubs are gonna hit today,
They're gonna pitch today,
They're gonna field today.
Come what may the Cubs are gonna win today.

Hey hey! Holy Mackerel!
No doubt about it,
The Cubs are on their way.
They got the hustle.
They got the bustle.
The Chicago Cubs have come to play.
The Chicago Cubs are on their way.

Cub Nation -

Time for us to bring it on!

It's Gonna Happen.

With regarding tot he Marlins last night, I think there was alot of jerking off going on in the manager's office after the game. There is no one out there to save this team. Time to unload and re-stock for next season.

There are playoff teams in need of a Gonzalez, Rhodes or a Helms. We can get a mid Class AA player for each one.

What about trading Uggla or Willingham now before it is too late? They should both have high value before it decreases.

It will be either the Mets or Phills in the playoffs. The wild card will come from the Central Division.

What did the Marlins get for Willis and Cabrera?

ESPN last night had the top three Marlins players in their history.

1-Cabrera
2-Lowell
3-Willis

You will not get people in that new stadium with this Marlin line-up. Unless you give away free tacos to the illegals from Miami.

Cubs are on a seven game road winning streak.

Another injury to the Rays. Percival got hurt.

Why doesn't the Marlins trade Dallas McPherson to the Rays?

Or just release the guy. Was once a top prospect in the Angels system.

White Sox hit four straight homeruns yesterday!

My Midwest buddies and I will be in Section 156 this weekend.
Come on down and say hi, talk baseball with us. Only time of the year I am not a Marlin fan.

Can't wait to hear "Go Cubs Go" after the game from all the fans.

And let's all of us be nice at the game. No swearing, No drunks, No wife beating or guns pulled out in the parking lot please.

Hate to hear that some dumb Marlin fan got dumped out in the Everglades.

Baseball is our national pastime.
