Adversity, a constant companion to this erratic ballclub, brings out the best in Manuel. He controls his feelings well, keeping the players from pressing if, in fact, anyone on this club can be said to be trying too hard. At any rate, Jerry's handling all the many disappointments as a consummate pro. His handling of mixing in the rookies in key situations has been exceptional. Whether this quality will win him the permanent job should club not make the postseason is doubtful, unfortunately. Winning really is everything, especially in NY.

You can put F-Rod in this bullpen and he will suck along with everyone else. It doesn't matter. Their is some sort of dark cloud hanging over this team. No matter what happens this story line will never change. It is like an old tired fairy tale with the same effin ending every game. Score runs early, don't score any more. Hold lead until 8th inning. Bullpen blows lead in 8th and/or 9th inning. Mets lose!

Same crap that happened all of last year. The only thing amazing about this team is how they can consistently continue to play out the same results every friggin night.

Put Jesus Christ on the mound and he will give up a home run in the 8th or 9th. Nobody will be able to fix this team except the baseball gods.

Kunz didn't give up a home run in 3 plus years. First game as a Met. Home run!

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
