Unfortunately Charlie Manuel is not doing the job needed to advance to the World Series or even the playoffs. The coaching staff is not as good as the NY Mets who play sound baseball. Ryan Howard is sent home by Juan Samuel (who got clobbered by being out of the coach's box by Hunter Pence in a game against the Braves) and of course Howard was out as he slid headfirst. Howard did not start the next game. How can you risk someone who just came back from torn Achilles and who makes $25 million a year for just one run? Last season Halladay, in blowout win against the hapless Nationals, was allowed to throw 131 pitches. Manuel will blow out the arms of Papelbon and Halladay. He needs to be replace and the whole coaching staff must go also. Bring in Ryne Sandberg.
