How can you ask the DOuglas coach about steriod use in baseball when his teams are the biggest users in High School athletics. What a joke!

Miles, you are correct in that names should not be given, however; you would be extremely niave to not realize that these student-athletes at some of these schools are taking these drugs. It's not because the pro guys are taking them, these kids do it to get ahead and that is cheating. Believe me, their coaches are aware and simply don't ask. That is just as wrong and then to get a quote from these guys is a big joke. Its not sour grapes, it more along the lines of, "The Truth Hurts!" Win with student-athletes that do it the right way!

MY 2c.

THEY SHOULD EITHER TEST EACH PLAYER STARTING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL / OR JUST MAKE STEROIDS LEGAL. THATS THE ONLY WAY TO BE FAIR.

SOME KIDS AT THE YMCA WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT RANDOM TESTING FOR THEIR HIGH SCHOOL B/C (QUOTE FROM 1 OF THE KIDS) "80% OF THE BASKETBALL TEAM IS TAKING STEROIDS"

ATLEAST SOME ARE WILLING TO ADMIT IT. I DONT KNOCK THEM SINCE THATS WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO BE COMPETITIVE. I DOES, HOWEVER, SUCK FOR THE GUY THAT WANTS TO "DO THE RIGHT THING" AND NOT TAKE ROIDS... AND YES IT DOES MAKE A DIFERENCE. I HAD BEEN WORKING OUT SINCE 7TH GRADE STEADILY AND BY THE TIME I WAS A SENIOR IN HS I WAS STILL TOO SMALL TO PLAY FOOTBALL. I RAN TRACK INSTEAD.

BUT I DONT MIND THE USERS THAT CAN ADMIT. JUST WASNT WHAT I WANTED TO DO.

I BET ROGERS SON WAS ON THE JUICE UNTIL RECENTLY AS WELL.

FOT THOSE THAT MAY ARGUE IM JUST ACCUSING THEM BC I WAS THE SMALL KID... NOT THE CASE! THATS JUST WHAT IT TAKES. I KNOW, IVE BEEN IN THE GYM FOR 12.5 YEARS STRAIGHT NOW. IVE TALKED TO A LOT OF PEOPLE.

ROGER IS A PUSS FOR NOT FESSING UP

I WILL TELL HIM MYSELF IF HE WOULD LIKE. HE CAN FIND ME AT THE ASHLANE YMCA IN THE WOODLANDS, TX. IM THE GUY NAMED ROBERT THAT IS BENCHING 455 AND CURLING 225X3 WITHOUT EVER USING ANABOLICS. 6FT TALL, 215 LBS - PROBLEM IS HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO REACH THAT POINT

--IN MY OPINION HE IS SMART FOR TAKING ROIDS. GOOD CAREER MOVE. PROB MADE HIM MILLIONS. A PUSS FOR NOT TELLING THE TRUTH, BUT PROPS ON THOSE MILLIONS. MIGHT NEED THEM FOR THAT FEDERAL LAW DEAL!!!!

This isnt' the only problem. Most of the kids aren't even zoned at these so called elite schools. For instance check Taravella's Willie Medina. He's so zoned for Creek. He actually played there his freshmen and sophmore years. He thought they "sucked" so he left. Check these kids zones.

Baseball program Western High, FL
The parents at Western High, Davie Fl, must demand excellence of the sports program and athletics director.
Where is the leadership??
If the baseball coach is leaving than lets address the issue immediately! Why isn’t our Athletics Direct and school principal taking action? This will absolutely reduce any change of winner the District-but I guess the Athletics and high school leadership doesn’t feel accountable for this??
Why are they letting our kids be hurt by allowing reductions of JV baseball schedule, not developing the "kids" team over the summer?
Parents must hold the school board accountable. Council Susan Starkey—District 3, Maron Luis District 2 and Major Judy Paul...(Maureen S. Dinnen, School Board)
We realize the economy with weak, but the parents have foot the bills to support the baseball Program for years. Let's not let our elected offices target cuts to pressure the parents and community to support higher budgets.
Let’s increase efficiency and consolidate the parks system with the high school sports. Why do we have fields that sit vacant when they are needed for high school football, track, baseball and other sports??? We need innovation and focus.
