Is it me, or does Jay Gibbons look a lot like Joey Chestnut?

Taking Olson out two outs shy of a win was one of the most bizzare things I have ever seen.Even if Konerko and Dye homered he would still have a 2 run lead. But i guess they would have felt silly sending him back down with a win.Unfortunately someone has to go with Baez and Traschel coming back unless they move a couple bodies in a trade or they put Burres in the bully.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE RATIONAL. THE MANAGER TAKES OUT THE PITCHER AFTER 4.3 INNINGGS YET THE DAY BEFORE WHEN THE PITCHER LOOKED TERRIBLE AND YOU COULD TELL IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE GAME WAS OUT OF HAND HE KEEPS HIM IN .

If Trembley doesn't trust Olson to get two outs in the 5th, why start him in the first place? Olson might have been nervous but Trembley lost his nerve. As if we're in a pennant race or something. Give the kid a chance to find himself. I miss the Orioles actually having a manager run the team, instead of self-proclaimed know-it-alls like Trembley. There's a reason he managed two billion bush league games.

I have no problem at all with the manager making a pirching change in that situation. He explained his thinking in the paper and it makes sense to me. Trembly's statements in the Sun are much pithier than Perlozzo's and It seems to me he doing a good job managing given the fact the O;s have not removed the interim manager title and informed him he could manage at least thru July which is a strange considering the team is going nowhere this year anyway.

Hats off to Olson for a fine start. It's amazing that since Perlozzo's been fired all the moves that the team has made with bringing players up, getting rid of some. Why wasn't that done toward the end of his management days? Might of worked for Perlozzo to. Trombley having new blood to mix up in the lineup, and having it work, makes him look like a genius. I'm not campaigning for Perlozzo or busting on Trombley. It goes to show where most of the problem was. The guys on the field and on the bench. Let's keep it up the good play, shock everyone, and get into the playoffs.

I agree with the hats off to Olsen in his debut. However, in as much there will be many, many more games he'll start, his DEBUT was last night and it would've good if Tremblay had a tiny bit more confidence in the kid to get through the 5th inning to qualify for his 1st major league win. not leave the win to Rob Bell who didn't earn the win.
In short, you only DEBUT once. A win in a DEBUT is much better than a win in a 2nd start.

Very disappointed in Olson's velocity. He has a decent slider but at this point I do not see him breaking into the Orioles rotation in 08.
