GEE!!! WHAT a surprise! Beating the lowly Nats isn't THAT much of a stretch. NOW that he has his 300th win, will he FINALLY retire so we don't have to see that god ugly face of his anymore!!!???

It took him till age 45! Wow, I was hoping he'd never reach the 300 mark! Yanks should have kept him so he'd never reach 300 because he couldn't win in NY. Settings like the one he had today better suited him! I guess he'll be the final 300 game winner though!

Randy J. -- a very, very good pitcher, but not in the same class as the truly great ones. In a seventh game of the World Series, would still prefer a Roger Clemens on the mound -- or a Whitey Ford -- to get the job done. Randy too eratic.

Despit his sour personality, congratulations to the Big Unit on being the 24th pitcher to win 300 games. This pretty much closes the door on 300 game winners, gievn the state of the game now. With few pitchers going 9 innings & the advent of middle relievers, set up men & closers, 200 will be the new 300. Pitchers don't get as many decisions as they did years ago. Marvelous accomplishment. Sure a pitcher could stay 20 years and average 15 wins per annum, but will it happen? Possible but not probable. Again congratulations Randall David Johnson.

Yes I know it's the Nats but hey it's still a big league playing like a Triple A team. A win is a win no matter who it is. Look at the Mets disaster in Pittsburgh getting swept by the lowly Buccos. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nats sweep the Mets the way the state of their club is.

Great pitcher, not such a great person. Did he ever own up to providing for his estranged daughter? It's tough on $10 million a year. Could have at least thrown her some free tickets. At least you could see he never used steroids.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
