When the Yankees finally figure out this ain't the guy who is going to take them much of anywhere except mediocrity, maybe they will eject him onto another team. Getting rid of a man who did so much for you was a critical blow to them. Joe Torre will take the Dodgers to the championship...it is inevitable. Girardi will take them to exactly where they've been in the past, and not much more. These are not the Yanks of old, which is why they hang onto the past so firmly. There is not much there anymore. They have become mundane and average. they have been my only team for fifty years, and there's been no other. I am embarrassd for them. When you think you could od better than these clowns up there in the front offices, you know the team is in trouble. but left in the hands of these non-baseball experts, is it any wonder why these Yankees are in the predicament they are? I never would've hired Girardi, so I wouldn't have to throw him out. The Yankees are doomed.
